Our host could not be more helpful and this peaceful location up in the mountain is a perfect stop for exploring the mid-lake area.The breakfast terrace catches the sun and was our favourite part of the day. This is a beautiful character property in a beautiful medieval village. Lucia is very pleasant, has excellent communication skills and knowledge of local attractions. The terrace attached to the property is very nice and the village offers excellent walks for those who enjoy walking. It is perhaps not suitable for those with limited walking abilities. We really enjoyed our stay and will be going back for sure.

Utterly Charming

The medieval tower apartment was absolutely perfect for our little family! We loved the history and charm of Breglia. Lucia is incredibly knowledgeable about the village and the surrounding area, and provides a ton of information that we used to plan our time there. I would encourage anyone hesitant to just go ahead and book. This is an absolutely wonderful rental with so much to enjoy in the area.

Breglia ist ein malerisches Bergdorf. Toller Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge an die Seen und Wanderungen. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, absolut sauber und gepflegt. Lucia ist ausgesprochen nett und umsorgend. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.

Die Erwartungen ,die man von den Bildern hatte, wurden noch übertroffen.Total ruhige Lager,perfekt zum Entspannen!Die Berge hinter dem Dorf laden sofort zum Wandern ein.Oder man ist in 10 min am Comer See,wenn man das möchte.Die Gastgeberin ist unheimlich nett und hilfsbereit.Wer mit ihren Empfehlungen nicht die passenden Aktivitäten findet,ist selber schuld.In der Ferienwohnung mangelt es an nichts,alles ist ordentlich und sauber.Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und überlegen uns,wiederzukommen.

Ruhiger Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und mehr

Wir haben vor allem die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit der Terasse genossen. Und die Feste und Feiern im Dorf. In der Nacht kühlt es auch im heißen Sommer auf erträgliche Temperaturen herunter. Empfehlenswert!

À 20mn en voiture du lac de Côme par une petite route de montagne qui offre des vues extraordinaires, s'endormir au son du brame du cerf, ce fut un séjour atypique et magnifique. Wer Ruhe sucht, der ist hier richtig.

Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage in Lucias urigem Turm in Breglia. Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen und mit nützlichen und hilfreichen Tipps geradezu überhäuft. DANKE dafür! Der Turm hatte alles was unser Herz begehrte. Vor allem die schöne Terrasse, auf der wir jeden Morgen bei Sonnenschein frühstücken konnten, hat uns sehr gefallen. Vom Turm aus starten viele Wandermöglichkeiten, was wir sehr begrüßt haben da wir das Auto so kaum bemühen mussten. Fatzit: Sehr zu empfehlen. Es war toll!

Ein schöner Urlaub in netter Umgebung

Lucia ist eine sehr nette, hilfsbereite und gute Gastgeberin. Direkt nach der Buchung, kurz vor der Ankunft und auch während des Aufenthalts gab es von ihr einige Vorschläge für Wanderungen und gute Tipps für Ausflüge und Besichtigungen in dieser schönen Gegend. Die Kommunikation hat gut und unkompliziert auf Englisch funktioniert. Am Abreisetag gab es bei der Übergabe eine herzliche Verabschiedung. Auch ihr Mann zeigte sich in der ganzen Zeit sehr hilfsbereit. In dem beschaulichen Dorf mit einem empfehlenwerten und stets gut besuchten Restaurant mit fairen Preisen in direkter Nähe und in der Ferienwohnung haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist genau wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. Gerade bei hohen Temperaturen im Sommer lässt es sich dort besser aushalten, als direkt am See. Alles in allem ist die Region für einen entspannten Urlaub sehr zu empfehlen.

This small village was breathtakingly beautiful! Lucia met us at the bus stop and escorted us to the property! She even helped us haul our luggage during an unexpected rain storm! Would recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet getaway!

Wunderbare Natur, ruhiges Bergdorf, sehr nette und zuvorkommende Vermieterin

Wir konnten zwei Wochen lang durch ausgiebige Wanderungen die nähere und etwas weitere Umgebung von Breglia genießen. Dabei sind wir bevorzugt direkt von Breglia gestartet, weil es ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen ist. Im Dorf und in der Ferienwohnung haben wir uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Unsere Vermieterin Lucia hat schon vor Beginn des Urlaubs durch ihre sehr nette und unkomplizierte Kommunikation alles getan, um uns behilflich zu sein. Vor Ort hat sich diese tolle Unterstützung bis zum letzten Tag fortgesetzt! Für unsere Ausflüge an den Comer See haben wir auf Empfehlung von Luica meistens die Busse des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs genutzt. Dass fanden wir auch wesentlich entspannter, als selbst mit dem Auto dort unterwegs zu sein. Alles in Allem ein sehr gelunger Urlaub - vielen Dank an Lucia!!!

Sehr schöne ruhige Wohnung in abgelegenem Bergdorf

Wer Ruhe sucht und in den Bergen wandern möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Die Gastgeberin Lucia ist einfach wunderbar. Sie hatte so viele gute Tipps, dass wir gar nicht weit rumgekommen sind, sondern eher am Ort verblieben und schöne Ausflüge gemacht haben. Eine wirklich schöne Region.

Ruhiges Dorf und schöne Landschaft

Wer den Trubel am See meiden will ist in diesem ruhigen Dorf gut aufgehoben. Wanderungen vor der Haustüre, ein Restaurant am Ort, das sind die Pluspunkte. Menschen mit körperlichen Einschränkungen sollten jedoch wissen, dass es vom Parkplatz bis zur Wohnung einen steilen und holprig gepflasterten Weg gibt und rauf in die Wohnung eine steile Treppe. Im Schlafzimmer kann man meist nur gebückt gehen, weil die Deckenbalken niedrig sind. Das Bad ist recht klein und die wohnung insgesamt nicht besonders hell. Wem das nichts ausmacht, der ist bestens aufgehoben im Mittelalterlichen Ambiente des Turms.

From the moment we saw the pictures of this medieval tower, we knew we had to stay here while touring around Lake Como. We were not disappointed! Lucia was the perfect host, not only prompt in meeting us to guide our way up to the tower but guiding us towards points of interest in/nearby the village and in the mid-section of Lake Como. Her well drawn maps showing hikes around the village along with her personal interest in our doing the hikes nearby was contagious. We are glad we listened to her advice. We particularly enjoyed returning back to our lodging and sitting around the fire in the fireplace, sipping wine and reflecting over the fun we had during our stay.

I am Lucia, I am in my 50s and from 2008 I rent my family's houses in Breglia: an ancient village placed like a nest on the heights over Lake Como, surrounded by woods and paths offering breathtaking views, Here, away from the traffic and mass tourism, is the ideal place to rest in nature and rediscover silence.

Why they chose this property

Breglia is few minutes drive from the busiest and most famous places around the lake. Bus C113 connect Breglia with Menaggio (from 7am to 6pm, not on Sunday), and the locals restaurants/pizzerias has excellent meals with little expense. Great surroundins with extraordinary views. Here people are friendly, you can feel the atmosphere of yesteryear Italy.

What makes this property unique

The tower is in the oldest part of the village, its walls have a thousand years, the facade reveal ancient stone windows, next there was a monastery (15th century).
In the apartment are visible big beams done with chestnut trees.
The big terrace is a very quite place for relaxing and enjoying breakfast.
