Very spacious authentic Georgian flat in the true heart of London and next door to Benjamin Franklin’s old London residence. Around 150square meters of living space, separate kitchen diner with dining space for 8 adults. Bright comfortable living area with red leather sofas and smart TV. Space for 7 Guests to sleep in beds away from the living areas. Acess to the main bedrooms does require negotiating a flight of stairs. There are a King and Super King double bedroom as well as a small bunk room and 7th single bed downstairs in a hall alcove with its own TV. We have many Excellent reviews (58 of 65 are 5/5) on our Holidaylettings listing which has been active since 2011..

We choose this property because it had a DVD player, and my son likes to watch Doctor Who videos he purchases during our trip. The property is large, clean, and comfortable, and is in a fantastic location for exploring London.

It was very appropriate for four adults and three teen-age children. Was beautifully furnished and all essential items were in the kitchen. The children's bedrooms were spot-on. Would love to return again.
Overall the experience at this location was outstanding. A few minor issues were addressed quickly by the owner and didn't, in anyway, detract from our experience. This location was unbelievable and if you are looking for a great location in London to get anywhere, look no further. Hoping to stay here again in the future.
Cozy flat where the 5 of us never felt cramped. Walking distance to many tourist sites while being located on a private street. Train station is steps away. Best part is the owner who is super responsive and assists when called upon.

I stayed here with my wife, our 3 very young children (4,2,3mo) and our nanny for four weeks. The place felt like home and had a very good amount of space. The location was incredible and made it easy to walk or take very short tube rides to our adventure for the day.
Communication with the owner was top notch and we were able to very quickly get questions answered. Highly recommended place to stay.

The flat is in a perfect location and extremely convenient between Charring Cross and Embankment Underground. It was a wonderful home base for several attractions within Central London. The owner was great to work with and extremely responsive to our questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this flat for families looking to make a trip to London.

Great location - Perfect for a family trip to London!
We were in London recently on a trip with wife, two daughters and my in-laws. This apartment was perfect as it was spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. It was centrally location which made it easy to travel to all parts of the city. The pub around the corner was one of many conveniently located restaurants and grocery stores were a few minutes away. Property managers were responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay here again!

This flat is in the perfect location in central London. Close to Trafalgar Sq, two Underground stations and the Embankment pier for boat transportation. Easy walk to Buckingham, Covent Garden, and Leicester Sq. Plenty of room to spread out and has everything you could need (including umbrellas!). The pictures do not do it justice! Owner and management company were very responsive and getting the keys was easy on arrival. Highly recommend and would stay again!

This is a very large multi-level flat that was perfect for our family of seven. The bedrooms and baths are on the lower level, so you do need to take luggage down stairs. The furniture is comfortable and in excellent condition. Decor is very English and fun. There is a great kitchen that we just didn't use. It is within a block of the Charing Cross train station, and the Embankment tube station. Buses galore at Trafalgar Square. Walking distance to many London highlights. Nearby pubs are great!
First time to London with our family of six. This flat was the perfect accommodation. General living area and kitchen and bedroom and bathrooms were lovely. Super fun British decor !
The location of the flat was perfect. We used Charing Cross and Embankment Stations any time we were walking. So close to everything! We could get to Picadilly Circus, Westminster/Big Ben, and the Palace in easy walks. Very close to fun pubs- but our street was quiet.
We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Our host Phil answered all questions and communicated quickly!
We were a group of 2 adults and 5 kids (ages 10-14). The living space and kitchen were perfect for accommodating our large group! The primary bedroom is huge and we put one kid on the sofa in there because the bunk room was a bit tight for 2 older kids and all of their stuff. This worked well. The little alcove was perfect for one kid and the queen bedroom was adequate for the 2 oldest kids.
The location was amazing! You are just around the corner from busses and 2 tube stations. Cabs are also always available at Charing Cross. There's a coop grocers very close and lots of quick food options. Honestly, it's such a great location that we could frequently walk where we wanted to go.
The flat is located on a very nice, mostly residential street about a block or two from Trafalgar Square. It is very large and well equipped (although we didn't use the kitchen) and the beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive and helpful but there were a few things I wish I had known ahead of time. I would caution senior citizens that the steps down to the bedrooms and bathrooms are very steep and difficult to navigate. For young people, this might not be a problem, but for me it was a major concern. The wifi only works upstairs and the signal was sporadic. I only gave the check-in process 3 stars because the check-in person talked so fast and handed us the keys that we never really understood how the locks work. We could never get the key to open the front door and for the first two days we made sure someone was always in the flat because we were afraid we would be locked out.

We do accept the stairs are fairly steep and have highlighted this to guests individually but I’m going to add a note in the description that negotiating one flight of stairs is essential to stay at the flat. Also the front door lock has been looked at by a locksmith, he struggled to replicate the problem but serviced the lock and we do hope it will now function normally.

We were a family group of six who spent 10 nights at the apartment. The location is perfect for walking to the sites from Trafalgar square to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey , the London Eye and so on. Embankment tube station and Charring Cross train station we nearby. The apartment is larger than the pictures make it seem. There was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked (we did not cook while there). The living room was great for discussing the plans for the next days and going over the events of the current day. This looks to have been a nice home for owners with very good taste. It felt like home to us.The bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs. The first few steps require some care as they make a 90 degree turn. The bathrooms were fine and the beds were comfortable. There is a pub next door which has people outside on warm nights but the double insulated windows in the basement kept the noise down and it quits fairly early in the evening.Check in and out were straightforward. You get a key from a lock box when you arrive and leave it there when you leave. Communication with the owner was quick.We would be very happy to stay there again.

The location was fabulous. Nearby the train station, great pubs, etc. By far, the best part of the apartment. It was also very spacious for our party of five. When we arrived, none of the wall outlets had power and only the overhead lights worked. The refrigerator was warm and none of the fans or lamps worked. A fuse had been blown and we had to call to get help and had to flip the breakers 3 times before restoring power. Because of this, WiFi was down and we had to reboot it multiple times with no results until the next day, which was very inconvenient. While the reviews say it’s fully stocked, there were no coffee pods for either coffee machine in the kitchen. We then purchased pods ourselves and the machine completely overflowed our cups. I have the same Nespresso machine at home and know how to use it, but we ended up having to go and buy coffee each day. This was also very inconvenient. Also, to clarify the listing, there is no bathtub and no dryer. There is a washing machine which we used a few times, but we’re not able to find any drying function on the machine. If this was an all in one, we were unable to find that function. We have used all in ones in Spain, Ireland, France and Italy, but did not see this function so we hung our clothes out on the drying rack. There were only 3 pods left at the bottom of the bag. Check in process needs to be streamlined. Many lock boxes, keys, and steps to get in. Very, very hot due to no A/C. Could only stay downstairs.
Excellent location to explore London. Everything you need was near by including a pub around the corner!! Phil was a great host. Having to rooms downstairs provide some relief from the heatwave - not to mention all the fans that were available!!! Great place.
Host was extremely friendly and quickly responds to any questions we had. Property was extremely clean and great location for nearby shops, food, and activities. Excellent property and would highly recommend to anyone traveling to London. Super friendly host and made our stay excellent. Thank you!
Die Wohnung liegt nur wenige Schritte vom Trafalgar Sqare und der Charing Cross Station entfernt. Im Erdgeschoss sind eine große Küche und ein großes Wohnzimmer. Im Souterrain sind 3 Schlafzimmer sowie eine Nische mit Bett. Ausreichend Platz für 6-7 Personen. Das Masterschlafzimmer hat ein en-suite Bad und es gibt ein weiteres Badezimmer. Die Betten waren bequem. Die Ausstattung ist insgesamt sehr gut. Die Sauberkeit könnte besser sein, war für die 4 Tage okay. Der check-in war etwas holprig, da die Agentur beim ersten Anruf meine Reservierung nicht finden konnte. Deshalb die Punktabzüge. Grunds ätzlich kann ich die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

We are Sarah and Philip and have owned this property for almost 10 years. We regular spend weekends there with our teenage boys and are continually trying to maintain and improve the decor and furnishings for guests to enjoy. We recently recarpeted and have updated some of the beds and renovated the en-suit shower. The flat is in the true heart of London and allows us to regularly get to the theatre and visit London galleries and museums. We work and live near Canterbury in Kent where the boys are still at school.
Why they chose this property
There are few more authentic period London flats that are as convenient as this for visitors to London. The flat is very spacious and really is in the true centre of London.
