3 guests2 bedrooms2 beds1 shared bathroom The room is located in a large and comfortable apartment that is part of an apartment building in Siculiana, a hill town 19 km from Agrigento. From the terrace that almost completely surrounds the apartment you can see the imposing Chiaramontano Castle built on the end of the rocky crust which, with its once crenellated towers, dominates the town and the red and white striped dome of the Mother Church, from the Baroque era, inside which there is the chapel of the Most Holy Crucifix, patron of the town. In it is venerated the Black Crucifix which was brought there in 1611 from the castle where it was previously preserved.
A tour in the surroundings A few kilometers from the town you reach the beach of Siculiana Marina, one of the most beautiful and unspoiled shores in the whole of southern Italy where a wild nature is reflected in a crystal sea. Also in the Siculiana area lies the Torre Salsa Natural Reserve, managed by the WWF, which preserves one of the most beautiful and wild areas of the Agrigento coast, where turtles nest. Its coast extends for about 6 km and is an alternation of cliffs, dunes and immense and solitary beaches. 7 km from Siculiana is Realmonte located on the sea, full of splendid sandy beaches, such as those of Lido Rossello and Punta Grande; these are many small sandy coves close to suggestive chalky cliffs overlooking the sea, separated from each other by headlands sculpted by the wind and the sea, consisting of the same yellow sandstone with which the Doric temples of Agrigento were built. The sea that bathes the beaches is turquoise, crystal clear and transparent, a destination for diving enthusiasts. The territory also includes rocky coastal areas, among which the splendid Scala dei Turchi is now known all over the world, a true jewel of the western part of the Agrigento coast. The tourist now reaches Realmonte from all over the world and the Scala dei Turchi is the main attraction. It is a very particular stretch of coast that surrounds the municipality of Realmonte, a coast increasingly loved by many tourists, Italians and foreigners. Here the dazzling white of the Scala dei Turchi promontory meets the sea, creating an incredible landscape. On the sides of the Scala dei Turchi long beaches, shorter beaches, coves, with fine sand and crystal clear water. 20 km from Siculiana is Agrigento, a hill town on the southwestern coast of Sicily. It is known for the ruins of the ancient city of Akragas and the Valley of the Temples, a vast archaeological site with well-preserved Greek temples. On the outskirts of the modern city there is the Regional Archaeological Museum of Agrigento which houses artifacts and a telamon (giant male statue).
