Thank you for your lovely review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. 😊
Flat is very nice, as advertised and equipped with everything we needed. Laura was available if needed and the flat was nice and clean when we arrived. Would recommend and would come back.
Lovely apartment in a great location. Laura the host was great, amazing commutation gave all the info needed, but wasn't over bearing. When we return to lanark we will definitely be booking to stay here again!
Apartment is spacious and clean. Some traffic noise during the day as it’s on the Main Street but not too bad. Definitely recommend.
Good location to explore south Scotland, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Easy shopping for groceries and a good restaurant nearby. The Broomgate.

The entry is between 2 buildings and looks very run down and sketchy. Once you enter you have an uneven spiral stair that you have to climb 2 levels. Hard to do with heavy suitcases. For the Americans: 2nd floor in UK is actually US 3rd floor. Once you enter, we noticed that the fresh paint of the pictures is not there. Other reviewers complained about the noise of the street and it is loud. Our main issue however is the gas line and meter next to the bed. I don’t understand why this was not encapsulated. After reaching out to the owner she stated that is was all approved but we didn’t feel safe and decided to not stay here. We tried to claim back some of the fees we paid but to date we didn’t even receive anything back, even not the cleaning fee.

I’m sorry that you did not have the best experience visiting my property. The property is located between 2 shops as it is a maisonette. The entire street consists of shops and entrance doors. I disagree that the entrance is sketchy as the entrance is private and is shared only with my own 2 properties on the 1st and 2nd floor. There is a spiral staircase leading to each of the properties as per my descriptions of these. It is also located on the Main Street which on occasions can be noisy but it is however centrally located for access to public transport and amenities and we usually receive very positive feedback about the location. I’m sorry that you felt uncomfortable with the gas meter. Gas in Scotland is installed by Scottish Gas Network and as such the meter is owned by them. It’s not uncommon for them to install a meter in the bedroom if this is the easiest access point for the install. I have never had any complaints about the aesthetics of the meter but as you have raised this I will look at the possibility of putting a covering over it. As stated during our conversations I could not agree to refund the entire amount I’m afraid as per our cancellation policy but I was more than happy to refund the cleaning fee since you did not stay at the property. I have asked twice for details to make this payment to you but as yet I have not heard from you.
Well maintained apartment within walking distance to town center. It is close enough to both Edinburgh and Glasgow to use as a base and has lots of other things to do within a short drive if you want to stay out of the cities
Flat was big & bright. Well furnished with everything you'd need. Exceptionally clean & lots of towels. Bathroom has a fantastic shower, beds were very comfortable plus a big dining kitchen. The addition of a welcome pack of bread, milk, orange juice, butter, tea, coffee, shortbread & a bottle of wine certainly made our day on arrival. Flat is within 5 min walking distance of the town centre, 10 mins from the beautiful Castlebank park & 25min stroll to New Lanark Herritage Centre. All in all the perfect base. Owner was very helpful & informative when we asked for recommendations.
We would certainly book again.
