Peaceful Shenandoah Valley Getaway - Nonsmoking

Our place is great for couples, families with kids and, big groups,. This is a non-smoking cabin This place has it all - great location for wine tasting weekends, golf weekends, antique shopping - cavern explorations! History buffs, nature lovers and people looking for relaxation will be pleased here. Very private - located on 10 acre setting. Small above ground pool (weather permitting) available and hot tub for star gazing!
Wi-fi is available, and great cell coverage.

We provide most necessary items for your getaway, including towels, sheets, paper products, cooking supplies including condiments and spices, games, wood for fires, grill supplies.

To accommodate large groups and small groups our base price is based on 4 guests, each quest over 4 is $25/night. Our rental house is provided for the paying guests, which means only paying guests use hot tub, pool and fire pit.

We had a wonderful stay. Herb and Kelly are absolutely wonderful. They make sure your stay is relaxing and that you have everything you need. The home is close to lots of activities, or you can just chill in the hot tub and explore the beautiful property. My family and I will definitely be back to check out the pool during a warmer month.

Home was exactly like the listing and perfect for our long weekend away. Very comfortable for our family of 5 adults and one 8 year old. We had everything we needed between bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen supplies and common areas. The property felt private, was quiet and close to small towns and highways. We hope to come back again when it’s warmer to use the pool!

We had a lovely stay with 6 friends for a mid-week getaway. Hosts are very attentive and have thought of everything you might need. Plenty to keep a family happy and busy, or a great spot for adults to getaway. Pool, hot tub, fire pit, ping pong, foosball, grill, books, games, good hiking nearby, etc, etc. Don't hesitate to book this property for a relaxing week/weekend, or as a base to explore the area!

Relaxing getaway

We spent a few days in the Shennandoah area at this cabin. The location was great for visiting Shennandoah National Park. It’s very secluded, yet close to the town of New Market. We enjoyed the hot tub after long days of hiking and the pool was relaxing as well. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We also enjoyed all the living space-having two separate family/living rooms was perfect for our group of five. There is a short trail to a waterfall on the property-we had fun finding it! The owners were very responsive and checked on us during our stay. We felt that they really cared about us as guests. We would definitely stay again!

Graduation weekend

It was a great place to stay for the family close to JMU with a fun cabin feel. The house was rustic as shown but had a fun vibe we had everything we needed and loved the huge fireplace and the hot tub. Didn’t get a chance to explore the property or play outside much as we were busy with graduation activities but it met all our needs for cooking and sleeping and hanging out inside. It was a nice place to celebrate our daughter with family.

We enjoyed immensely our stay in Kelly and Herb's beautiful and charming home near New Market, VA. Beautiful quiet stay

Enjoyed the stay very much. Quiet stay in the hillside. Hot tub , fire pit , indoor fire place and a nice back deck to relax on. It was very enjoyable and we would return. The upstairs main bedroom mattress was a little hard / firm for our liking. But wasn’t a huge deal. The stay was very much enjoyable overall. Herb was a pleasure to deal with.

A Beautiful Retreat

While feeling isolated from the world, enjoying nature all around, we were still very close to town and activities. We particularly liked that the "game room" was located away from the house and provided great entertainment for all. The one draw back was no bedroom area on the main floor and many steps upstairs and downstairs to go to bedrooms. House was well stocked with everything needed and felt like a comfortable, cozy space.

Romantic anniversary getaway! Where to begin. The home is big and beautiful. Herb met us for check in. Was a pleasure to meet him and get a personal walk through. The hot tub was amazing! Pool was great but was too late and cold in the season for us to use. Home was immaculate and incredibly well stocked! From all paper products and cookware, to basic HABA needs, we didn’t need to purchase anything but food! The bed in the main bedroom upstairs was perfect for our liking, but that’s a personal preference of course. Property was large and well kept. The “hidden” trail was a nice bonus. If you want privacy and love the outdoors, this is the place for you.

Beautiful vacation cabin

We had an amazing time at this cabin and wish we could have stayed longer. It is in a quiet secluded area but the town was not far to go grab groceries and other necesseties. There was lots of room for our dog to run and we really appreciated being able to bring him. Most of our time was spent outdoors. There was a pool, hot tub, grill, and a firepit. Everything was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. We have absolutely no complaints! Everything was great! Thank you Herb and Kelly!
