About this property
87 Micklegate · 87 Micklegate, YORK
This is an historic timber framed building dating back to the 1500s, with fantastic detailing. The property is spread out over 3 floors above the antique shop, with a small yard at the rear to sit out in.
Come and enjoy a stay in YORK in this wonderful medieval property.
This is a new listing from us, but we already let 3 other properties in the centre of York if you want to check out our ratings and feedback.
Spread out over 3 floors, with a large kitchen dining room, 3 bedrooms (two doubles and a twin) with a bathroom/shower-room on each floor and an amazing beamed living room in the attic with leather chairs and beanbags.
You will have access to the whole property - step through the front door on Micklegate, and step back in time, with a stone flagged hallway that leads to the back yard, with the apartment door providing access to the 1st floor - explore and enjoy
Micklegate is within the York city walls, and is the original main access to this city.
The street is a lively street with a number of popular bars and excellent restaurants, and a great place to start your visit to York.
Only 5 minutes walk from the train station, and with a long term carpark a few minutes walk away.
This is a very old timber property, with uneven stairs and floors, and low ceilings and doorways - please be careful when walking around the house and mind your head when climbing the stairs.
Micklegate is a busy vibrant street filled with bars and restaurants all situated inside the city walls.
Pets - allowed
87 Micklegate is an easy 5 minutes walk from the York Railway Station, and located diagonally opposite Partisan Bistro where we have arranged for your key collection. Your keys will be waiting for you in an envelope marked for your attention, along with a welcome letter with any other relevant access details. Partisan is open from 9-5 Monday to Wednesday, and later into the evenings from Thursday to Saturday - a lovely place for coffee and cake, with a great menu for lunch and dinner. If you plan to arrive later than this please let us know and we can make alternative key collection arrangements.
There is no parking with the house, but you can park on Mickleagate (often very close to the property) on a meter for up to 2 hours at 80p per hour for unloading etc. Longer term parking is available a few minutes walk away at Nunnery Lane Carpark at a cost of about £12:50 per day on a pay and display basis.
The front door for 87 Micklegate is located on the street just between the newsagents and the antiques shop.
Once you have booked, we will require your email address and will forward detailed instructions which will include directions, parking instructions and key details.
No pick up service is provided
