Ibn Qasî Refuge - The paradise at the door of Mértola

The house has 3 bedrooms and was decorated with furniture that we have recovered. It is also for us a place of refuge and relaxation, where we like to spend some time. It is our second home and for a long time we had not thought of opening it to visitors other than our closest friends.
We built the house from an agricultural implements warehouse and a small stable. We use typical materials of the houses of the place, namely the cane ceilings and the floors in clay tiles, handcrafted in Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, in the neighboring Algarve.
In Alcaria dos Javazes there is a small museum center that seeks to portray how was the life of the inhabitants of the place.
At night, darkness allows us when there are no clouds to watch the starry sky. This is only possible because we expressly ask you not to install streetlights near our home.
