About this property

La maison de Moustiers' **** is a stylish holiday cottage located in the center of the historic village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. The house can accommodate 2 to 4 people, in very comfortable conditions. It is located on a pretty little square with a wash house and a fountain, but nevertheless in a quiet area, away from the passage. A beautiful roofterrace with barbecue allows you to enjoy a magnificent view over the village roofs and the cliffs which overhang it.
'La maison de Moustiers' offers an exceptional location from which to explore the wonders of Haute Provence: the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie of course (which has obtained the label 'most beautiful villages in France'), but also the Lake of Sainte-Croix with its beaches and nautical activities, the lavender fields of the Plateau de Valensole and the Gorges du Verdon which are in the immediate vicinity.

"La maison de Moustiers" has been fitted out in an original way and has obtained the classification "4 stars" from the organization "Gîtes de France".
It is like the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie: we tried to arrange it with respect for authenticity, while giving it all the modern comfort that one can hope for when going on holidays! We have therefore attached great importance to the comfort of the beds, the layout of the kitchen and that of the relaxation areas (roof terrace, comfortable lounge ...). Furthermore, the house is ideally located in the village, close to all the small shops and at the same time sheltered from traffic, very quiet!

Description of the house:
"La Maison de Moustiers" is arranged on 4 levels and offers:
- on the ground floor: a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, ...) and a laundry room (washing machine, dryer);
- on the first floor: a living room (sofa convertible into a double bed - 140 cm), a small balcony and a WC with sink;
- on the second floor: a bedroom (king size bed 180 cm) and a bathroom with walk-in shower;
- on the upper floor: a partially covered terrace, a barbecue area, a dining area, with panoramic views of the cliffs and roofs of the village.

Magical Loc

The house was beautiful. The town is magical. The host is wonderful. The Verdon Gorge was spectacular. This was a perfect vacation location. We highly recommend.

Villa trés bien placée

Villa vraiment sympa et bien placée au calme et proche du centre ville, un peu sombre en bas et faut aimer les étages (4 niveaux) mais sinon séjour bien agréable et villa bien équipée!

Stunningly beautiful village

A very well appointed gîte in a beautiful village setting. Exactly as described in the details. We were met at the property by Mrs Martinique who gave us a brief tour. Kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal. The bed was really comfortable and had beautiful bed linens. Outside spaces were excellent. The stairs would be a problem for anybody with mobility issues. There are many small restaurant’s in the immediate area though they do seem to keep eclectic opening times!

lovely tall house

This is a very well-styled apartment in an incredible location. There are a lot of interior steps, which was fine for us, but anyone older might find it tough. The views from the topfloor balcony were lovely. Unfortunately the internet really didn't work, and we found it very frustrating, although the owners tried to help as much as possible, and were very responsive. You can walk everywhere in the town easily from here and it is truly a beautiful town! The bed is incredibly comfy.

The house was refurbished with respect for authenticity, end yet with all modern comfort one expects to enjoy during one's holiday!
