River Retreat - In Town Treat on The Chattahoochee River

Gaze out at the Chattahoochee River from just about every room. Open the windows and listen to the rippling flow of the water. Breathe the fresh air and enjoy the view from the deck or from the hot tub!

This cabin has fully-equipped kitchen and gas grill on the deck for meals cooked at home. Would you rather eat out? River Retreat is within walking distance to downtown Helen! Should you decide to cook and eat at the cabin, the cabinets are filled with all the cookware, dinnerware and glassware you will need. Come coffee time, you have the option of using the standard drip coffee maker or the one-cup Keurig found in the cupboards.

The cozy couch is the perfect spot to snuggle up near the gas fireplace on chilly evenings. There is a streaming TV for your entertainment, so don't forget to bring your channel subscription login information.

Bring some quarters with you and relive the 80's with a game of Pac-man or any of the other 28 games on the arcade machine upstairs.

The main floor king bedroom has a bath with a walk-in shower. The upstairs king bedroom shares a bath with the guests staying in the loft. This bath features a shower/tub combination and the television is for playing DVDs only. In the loft there is a full size bed for two and a futon for one.

This cabin has the perfect parking for those riding or bringing motorcycles up to the mountains. Please note that River Retreat has 23 steps from parking to the front door. Pets are not allowed at River Retreat.

• Minimum Age Requirement: River Retreat is available to families or to guests 21 years or older.
• Parking: Space is available for 3 vehicles.
• Access: The road and driveway are paved
• Pets: Pets are not allowed at River Retreat.
• Location: 1.2 miles to downtown Helen. Cabin on the River is located directly behind the Helen Water Park on the opposite side of the Chattahoochee River.
• Steps: The cabin is built on stilts and there are 20+ steps from the parking area up to the front door.
