Great Vacay Home Base
With a location across the street from the Russell Square station, the location couldn't be beaten.
The Bloomsbury area buzzes with energy, but not too busy like, say, the the Trafalgar Square area. Downstairs from the flat were 3 grocery stores and plenty of restaurants (including a Starbucks).
While the building itself comes across a little dated, the apartment was clean and well supplied, with a new and fully-equipped kitchen. My wife says the decor could have used a women's touch, but it had everything. There is also a balcony accessible from every room that overlooks the shopping area, which was kind of nice.
There is a nice pub right across the street from the building (Marquis Cornwallis). The wife and I went down and had a pint with the locals on our last night, which was nice.
If there was one thing I thought could be improved was the internet speed. But 99% of people won't even notice the difference (we had about 4 or 5 devices accessing it, including a Roku streaming TV shows, so perhaps we taxed the system more than we should have.
Mark established contact as soon as we made the booking and quickly answered any question we had. He made check-in easy and also checked in on us mid-trip just to ensure everything was okay.
All-in-all, flat, location, and management gets the old thumbs-up from us! 👍
