Castro is located in the center of the Salento coast, in a strategic position to visit the most renowned places in the area. Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca, with their beautiful sandy beaches, are about 30 minutes' drive from Castro. The splendid Lecce, the capital of the Baroque, and Gallipoli are about 45 km away.
The nearest airport is in Brindisi, 98 km from Castro. In the airport there is the possibility to rent a car or take a shuttle to Lecce and then continue by bus to Castro.
