Chichester Cottage - Great for Goodwood

A stunning stable conversion in the grounds of a fine 16th-century house nestled in the heart of the Sussex countryside. This beautiful luxury self-catering cottage offers plenty of charm whilst being equipped with all the modern facilities to help you thoroughly enjoy a restful and relaxing escape to the country.

The cottage offers lofty and light open-plan, living. An oak-beamed living space, full underfloor heated and a gorgeous kitchen with everything provided for a stress free stay. There are wo double bedrooms with en-suite shower-rooms, and a mezzanine twin bedded area, ideal for children (please note the mezzanine floor is open to the living area) - with en suite toilet/basin. Televisions with Freeview can be found in both bedrooms and living area. Plus free internet access available throughout.

Chichester Cottage has its own tranquil garden and orchard, with the stunning South Downs and The Sussex Stones as a backdrop – a perfect and relaxing place for an al fresco glass of wine! Free parking is available outside the cottage.

We also have a wonderful Shepherds Hut available which sleeps two, which can be used by groups needing to extend their party or rented by itself - please see our separate listing - The Shepherds Hut @ Chichester Cottage.

Friendly and comfortable stay

Very grateful for the warm welcome. There were really comfortable beds and great showers. The open plan kitchen was lovely bright and sunny in the morning.

Great property and location

Lovely stable conversion - close to Chichester and the beaches along the south coast. Our boys loved the garden space and being able to see the horses in the paddock each day. They are asking when we can go back - hopefully soon.

Recent winter break

As a family we would thoroughly recommend the cottage to anybody looking for a peaceful break in a great location. The cottage and the grounds are a delight. We are a family with 4 children under12 all the kids particularly loved seeing the horses within the grounds. Neil was a charming host and very helpful.

We had such a lovely week. The owners are really friendly and helpful. On the land is the owners art studio which me and the kids found really interesting. The location is fab and we had lovely family days out. Thank you for having us.

Perfect rural getaway

Idyllic location, stylish decor, well-equipped and charming owner. My only caveat is that although both main bedrooms are on the ground floor they are not suitable for those with mobility issues - or even the not so young! - as the beds are very low and there are no grab rails in the bathrooms.

Wonderfully relaxing location

Thanks to Neil and Grace for their welcome and friendliness. Beautifully fitted and comfortable property with everything we needed for a relaxing stay while visiting family and friends in the area. Dog heaven for our puppy too, in safe grounds with the resident dogs and horses. We look forward to coming back!

Fabulous cottage in great location!

Perfect weekend away for 3 couples and a dog. Neil the property owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating - being super flexible with the check in and check out timings! He was also super relaxed about us having our dog who freely roamed the grounds and played with his own dogs. Perfect location which overlooks a horse paddock and with several pubs and walks just a stone throw away. All of the pubs we ate at also had fantastic food! Perfect weekend getaway - would highly recommend!
