Quite area ...a bit far from the town to walk easily. Our host was responsive and helpful with hiking suggestions and restaurants. Super clean and comfortable home.

Thanks for the kind review. Just to clarify, as it says in the description, the townhouse is located in town, centrally located, 2 blocks from the world famous Kenai River, and 2 blocks away from the library, hospital and post office. Because we are passionate about travel, after the remodel we selected high quality linens, luxery mattresses, and fully stocked the kitchen with restaurant quality or better utensils and cookware. We strive to keep the townhouse immaculate, and we even bent the rules (but just for you) and made a bed in the living room for your unexpected guests! I am glad you enjoyed your stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed the guest experience at this property. Micah made sure we had what was needed, including recommendations of things to see throughout the Kenai peninsula. We highly recommend the experience!
Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
We loved so many things about this property. Location was in a beautiful neighborhood. It was nice to have everything we needed near by... grocery store, restaurants and entertainment. The setup of the kitchen was perfect. Loved cooking in that open kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were lovely. Next time we hope to stay longer!
Everything. Was exactly as described everything we needed was here very clean close to stores host was very helpful with tips on there to eat and places to visit an sightsee! They were very nice also allowed myself kids to use their bikes was definitely a bonus for my kiddos while I would prep for a day out! Would definitely reccomend staying here!
Micah was easy to reach and was great at communicating. The space was very clean and perfect for our group. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed how close it was to the river, parks and town. This really is a great location and perfect spot for us. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to AK.
Great location! Well kept. Clean and updated. Missing a lot of basic amenities : paper towels, extra toilet paper, toaster, rugs, curtains, lightweight blankets and fans for hot weather. Hot water never got hot. Showers were barely Luke warm. Would also advise owners to use Free & Clear, Unscented laundry detergent for towels and bedding as more and more people are now sensitive to smells.

Thank you Erica! I am glad you enjoyed your stay at our newly remodeled townhouse, with modern amenities such as Smart TV with Streaming services Hulu, Netflix, and Prime, two barbecue stations, luxury cotton linens, and kitchen stocked with chef inspired tools and cutlery. We are just two blocks from the world famous Kenai river, but for days when fish aren’t biting, we offer a book library, DVD player with DVD library, and for the audiophile- an LP player with selection of Vinyl LPs.
I am sorry you didn’t let us know what you needed. Since it’s a small Townhouse, we keep the most basic amenities stocked so it’s not cluttered, but like we said, just let us know what you need! We have had requests for fishing gear, bicycles, beds, and more! You just have to ask. And next time you book, just ask for Unscented laundry detergent, and we will let the housekeeping know to use that instead of the hypoallergenic! It’s really that easy to go from a 3 star stay to a 4 or 5!
Thanks again for your feedback. We always like hearing from our guests!
Very convenient and comfortable property. Excellent communication with property manager. I really appreciated the suggestions for local eateries and activities. A very nice touch! My only suggestion would be for curtains/blinds on the door and living room window facing the street for a bit more privacy.
The property exceeded expectations set by the listing. It was comfortable and clean and a perfect setup for a few people to relax between adventures. I’ll be staying here again for sure!
The facility was very nice, modern yet homey. And very clean. Micah was a great host. He met us when we arrived and provided us a list of great places to eat and activities to do in the area. Would recommend to anyone staying in Soldotna.
We had a great stay at the Narrow Road Townhouse. Very quiet and very comfortable beds. The location is in a nice location to get around the Kenai peninsula.

Great townhouse
I stayed in Soldotna with my dad and boys for 8 days of fishing. We had a great time and really enjoyed coming home to the Narrow Road Townhouse after long days on the river. The place was super clean and well appointed with everything you might need. Micah was a great host.
We hope to come back soon.

Perfect launching pad for Kenai peninsula adventures!
Stayed here in July 2017 for 4 days. The townhouse was immaculate and well appointed. They even left us morning snacks of oatmeal and fresh, local coffee. The beds were AMAZING...so soft and comfortable that it made it hard to get up and get going in the morning! There were plenty of fluffy towels and body wash/shampoo/conditioner. Micah was extremely responsive to our needs (we had one bulb in bedside master lamp go out and he promptly replaced it). Loved having a washer/dryer in the unit complete with detergent--so appreciated when you've spent the day fishing or hiking! The--only--recommendation I have would be to add a small dressing table and mirror in the 2nd bedroom. We traveled with two teen daughters and it was sometimes hectic trying to get 'face time' in the single bathroom mirror :-) In lieu of ceiling fans, the addition of an oscillating fan(s) would be nice for the warmer days. The townhouse is easy to find, close to restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, and gas stations. We would HIGHLY recommend staying here and hope to do so again in the future!

About the host
Hosted by Micah Shields
After leaving Alaska and traveling through Central and South America, we moved back home to raise a family. We love the Kenai for it's beauty and diversity! We spend hours cruising along local lakes and bays, camp on the beach whenever we get the chance, and hike into the mountains to get away from it all!
Why they chose this property
We bought this townhouse with the intent to renovate it into something our family and friends would appreciate staying when they visit from out of town. It has the amenities we appreciate when we travel. It was built in the early '80s, is on a quiet, established street surrounded by lawn and mature trees. We offer it to the discerning traveler when not in use.
What makes this property unique
The Kenai Peninsula, known as "Alaska's Playground", is located due south of Anchorage. Whether you want to kayak out into Resurrection Bay, float the Kenai, fish for "barn door" size halibut in Homer, or head off into the Mystery Hills- Soldotna is at the center of it all. Narrow Road Townhouse is a 900 sq ft, two story unit located on a quiet street in the heart of town. Within striking distance of your next adventure and appointed with luxurious amenities to make your stay enjoyable.
There is a lighted, paved walking trail that winds through the woods nearby, and moose are frequent visitors. Private entrance with updated security features.
