Fabulous modern 2-bedroom end of row townhouse with a private pool and patio a 2 minute walk to the nearest of many village restaurants and less than 10 minutes' walk to Burgau's blue flag beach, This is a lovely spacious modern end-of-row villa located in a quiet road with no through traffic and ample free parking. The front door opens into a hallway with stairs to the bedrooms and a ground floor bathroom with a shower, toilet and wash hand basin. The hall then opens into the living area with seating for 4 and a dining table with 4 chairs. The wall-mounted large flat screen TV has MEO TV channels and Wi Fi and the living room enjoys pool views. Off the living room, the separate kitchen is well-equipped with appliances, pots, pans and crockery and it has a door to the pool area. The patio by the pool has a dining set for al fresco meals and there is a brick-built BBQ near the pool. There are 4 sun beds by the south-facing private pool, which is regularly cleaned and maintained.
Upstairs, Bedroom 1 has a double bed, fitted wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with bath/shower, bidet and toilet. Bedroom 1 opens onto a sunny veranda with a 2 chairs to relax and enjoy views of the adjoining protected Parque Naturel. Bedroom 2 has twin beds, fitted wardrobe and en-suite shower and toilet. A door from the upstairs landing leads to a roof terrace which is a quiet spot to relax.
The house is located in the small village of Burgau, at the edge of Parque Natural do Costa Vicentina. Across the road from the house you can join the nearby coastal track which continues for miles and miles to Cape St Vincent and beyond, traversing over cliffs and beaches where you can enjoy nature's flora and fauna and fabulous ocean views. (This track is not suitable for child buggies, wheel chairs or for the infirm.) It is very rewarding to drive westwards towards Salema and other beaches along the coast to Sagres and 'the end of the world, and further exploring the dramatic cliffs and beaches of the Atlantic coast, many of which are popular with surfers.

Fabulous Villa

The villa was exactly as they said it would be. We had a marvellous family week in Burgas. The Villa is a short walk from the centre of the small village where there a number of fantastic restaurants and of course the beach. Having our own pool to dip into was just perfect and we will definitely return. Communication from the owners was excellent which took all the stress out of the whole process. Thanks for a fabulous week in the Algarve.

Great Villa

The villa was really nice, I stayed with my two daughters and we had a fab time. Pros The pool was great we spent a lot of time there. But the village is great too. We travelled about a bit but it was really nice to have the option to do either. You will need a car if you want to travel further afield than Burgau. ConsFirst time in the pool we noticed that the rubber seal had come loose, but it was an easy fix.The key to the front door got stuck a couple of times which lead to some panicy moments but it always worked in the end. The dish washer stopped working towards the end of the week and my roaming wasn't working to call the manager. (Not their fault my phone wouldn't connect)I wasnt sure what to do with the bins. But all those cons are minor and we would all love to come back some day.

Burgau ‘23

A very functional property. Having 3 toilets/showers was great. Kitchen fitted out with all appliances. Beds were fine but pillows could be improved. Pool was lovely but soon gathered debris from surrounding environment. Hand towels and bath towels were plentiful and of good quality. The downside was the general cleanliness of bathroom lower wall surfaces and the whole place needed regular sweeping and floors mopping. Location was good with only a short stroll into the village and beach.

The building maintenance was terrible, rusted refrigerator, window and door framing in rotting state, cracked shower basin causing water to cover the floor. Tile floors badly water stained in most.Pool liner filthy above water level. Stained badly from lack of cleaning. Too discoloured to make swimming enjoyable and therefore the pool was not used. The bbq was rusted out and unusable. The bed in the master bedroom was advertised as 60 inches, was only 54 …an irritation every night. The photos used in advertising were years old. The living room had only one chair and the advertising said chairs. There were no table lamps or side tables making reading impossible after nightfall. The four of us are seniors from Canada and this was to be the trip of a lifetime. We are more than disappointed. The hosts kindly offered us another unit, but upon inspection, it proved to be no better. The bed..still 54”. They have kindly arranged for a renumeration which we have accepted. The woman who was our local contact for questions and problem solving was simply terrific. We are astonished that VRBO, an international company which values customer satisfaction, put us thru what we experienced, atrocious building maintenance, faulty and outdated photography, and a site description which is simply not accurate. Based on the photographs, the description of the facility and the VRBO name, we arranged and paid for this trip. We feel we should not have to pay anything for this experience.

We are very disappointed with this review. This is a very popular house with lots of repeat and happy guests. It has a private pool and full air con throughout. We have to disagree with your assessment. We have an excellent manager who goes out of her way to look after guests as she did in your case to address your concerns. You were offered alternative accommodation which you refused and you were given a substantial refund. We did everything we could to make your stay as pleasant as possible and we are very sorry that you felt compelled to leave such a negative review.

We enjoyed our stay at the villa. Very well equipped, beautiful swimming pool and lovely views. One thing we found unusual was it was not cleaned in the 2 weeks we were there. Towels and bed linen were changed 4 days after arrival.

Burgau Holiday

My wife and I thou thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Villa in Burgau. Very quiet but also very close to the beach and all amenities. The villa was well equipped and very comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer!

spacious and conveniently located villa in Burgau

spacious , great location , 2 br , 2.5 ba villa with pool walking distance from Burgau beach and town. Host and property manager very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our stay there. One suggestion I will make is to add more nonstick frying pans and utensils and few other kitchen accessories eg. peeler, more kitchen towels. Great location, 5 mins walk to beach and 3 mins to shops. Hope to return again .
