A beautifully restored former refuge for Pilgrims and travellers traversing the Appenine mountains from Rome to Atri. The restoration has taken 13 years and now offers luxurious accommodation whilst keeping the traditional stone, oak beams and ancient brickwork. Downstairs are Italianate tiled and stone floors and warm hard wood flooring in some of the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms (3 en suite bedrooms with rain showers and one separate Bathroom next to 4th bedroom) all include floor fans.

Our lovely pool with teak decking, directly accessible from the terrazzo, sits surrounded by lavender, geranium and rosemary bushes and 2 separate garden areas to enjoy in our comfortable garden furniture or romantic double Brazilian hammock..

The huge Kitchen area has an antique table to prepare locally bought tomatoes or pasta or just pour wine from and a lovely vintage dresser but modern cooking facilities and all new equipment!

The stunning double brick vaulted living areas have 3 sofas to lounge on, read, relax and unwind and the double French doors in both the breakfast room and living room can be flung open to enjoy the stunning views towards the distant medieval towns of Penne and Loreto .....and the distant Adriatic sea...or maybe enjoy a glass of prosecco in the pool and watch the twilight stars arrive over the mountains.

We have free wifi, a selection of novels and many dvds to help you unwind and feel at home. We live in the next village and can easily be available should you need us. There is a gardener and pool guy (both speak perfect English) who visit once a week.

The local restaurants are superb, as highlighted by our previous guests....Not only the local lamb (famous arostocini) egg plant, courgette and homemade pasta and local wines...but also the wonderful engaging personalities of our farming neighbours...and not to forget the famous Campo Imperatore BBQ!! We have a locally wood fired pizzeria, al fresco riverside dining and music and wine festivals.


Arsita our local town is 10 minutes away with bars, ATM and Bank, petrol station, supermarket, hairdressers and Pharmacy
