It was a perfect stop for our motorcycle ride over Cottonwood Pass. The neighbors in the cabin next door, Melanie and Tiffany were so friendly and helpful with making restaurant referrals and just being so inviting. We loved the atmosphere and vibe.
Great location and walkable to town. Loved having our own front porch. Patio furniture really needs replacing. The unit is dated, but had lots of room and we enjoyed our stay. Brand new grill on the front porch! Property manager was great and very responsive! Walkability to town and the Arkansas River made this place a nice find.
It was easy to forget that this little cabin was so close to downtown. It was quiet and mule deer visited daily. The host was very responsive to the few issues we had.
This cabin is quaint! It’s simple yet has everything one would need. The porch is lovely! Drinking coffee every morning watching the deer roam through was so amazing! We definitely recommend it! The host was also great with communication!
Rustic cabin with all the essentials for a nice stay. Comfy bed. Great location to access very quaint town of Buena Vista and all it's amenities. Also good proximity and access to wonderful hikes. The property manager was easy to work with. Adjacent neighbors were nice people, nice little community. Good value for the money. Thank you for the stay!!

We were surprised to read this review, as the only direct communication we received from you via the VRBO platform during the booking was positive. While we understand you spoke briefly to our housekeeper, management was never contacted regarding the linens, drain, or privacy concerns, so we were denied the opportunity to assist you to make it right after the first night stay. Once management knew what was going on.You were not there anymore with no opportunity to fix it.
We strive to present the property accurately in our photos. However, we noticed you referred to our home by the name of a completely different property, which—combined with your sudden decision to leave early—suggests there was a significant amount of distraction and internal tension clouding your experience. We understand that when a trip becomes stressful due to personal dynamics, it is natural to feel frustrated that VRBO upheld the cancellation policy regarding your refund request and the chargeback process.
I hope the best for you too an anything that may be going on.
Cleanliness was just so so. No attention to details that would have upped it to 5. Excellent location and very peaceful for inside city limits. Was only 3 blocks from a wedding we were attending.

Very quiet and peaceful place. Everyone enjoyed yhe property and just how peaceful it was. Great for stargazing. The mornings were great for deer. The fireplace did not work for us. Needed batteries but when I tried new ones it said on but never turned on. I would stay again. Charles responded very fast.

Cabin rental
Pros- close to town, quiet and nice to see animals walking about.
Cons- no ac, no dishwasher, taped up couch, hole in kitchen floor ( trip hazard). Awful bed! Other than that, great!
I’m concerned others rated this excellent. Far from it!
Will never stay there again.
Great Stay. Only problem was TV did not work in bedroom. I texted owner and we tried to fix it but couldn't. We specifically and only choose rentals that have TV's in bedroom. I have sent an email to joyous vacations asking for a partial refund because of this. Thank You.
We loved the cabin, porch, deer, and location....WONDERFUL!! We did have an issue of lack of adequate towel sets for each of us and only 1 kitchen towel. Charles responded, but could only promise more towels the next day which was our last day...to late. The bed was VERY uncomfortable. It must have been a spring mattress that was VERY weak and noisy with movement. A new coffee pot would be nice. Other than those issues we loved staying there and would consider coming back, but would notify Charles IMMEDIATELY of problems and expect IMMEDIATE resolution.
Cabin was clean and comfortable and the location was very central. Charles was very responsive.
We enjoyed our Rocky Mountain experience in this cabin. The beds were comfortable and it felt very homely. Thanks Charles for excellent communication every step of the way.
We loved this little cabin. It was very comfortable and in a great location. There were lots of little details and comforts that made us feel thought of and cared for. We would stay again if we come back to Buena Vista!
We loved this cabin. It was clean, quiet and in a good location. We were initially turned off by the front porch needing to be swept, and the grease from the BBQ on the porch. We cleaned the front door and outdoor furniture and swept the Porch, but the grease could not be removed. The property manager was very prompt in responding to texts.
The cabin is great for a weekend getaway for two. Great location close to town and also close to the hot springs. Quiet space with deer who frequent the property often. Restaurants, breweries, and a distillery all within walking distance of the cabin. Would consider staying here again, or other cabins on the property, in the future.
We had an amazing time! This was the second time staying at this cabin. We love how they rearranged the kitchen and living room area. We were able to visit with classmates, had family from Colorado Springs drive up for the day. Was very enjoyable to have space to visit friends in!
Enjoyed St.Elmo (ghost town) and the drive up to Twin Lakes. The Aspen leaves were just starting to show off their colors !!!
The town deer are just as I remember them growing up in Buena Vista!!
If looking for peace & quiet in town, this is definitely the place!
Visited Buena Vista for first time. We were a bit skeptical about cabin in town but is secluded enough for a peaceful stay. Recommend shopping at Rustic Woods, Cool Beans Coffee & Collectibles & Swift River. Take the short drive to Mt. Princeton Resort & soak in the hot springs then on to St. Elmo's ghost town. The drive is spectacular! Definitely worth more stays at the Woodland Brook Cabins!
Peaceful rustic setting. On quiet isolated street but within walking distance to shops & restaurants. Convenient access to fishing, rafting and mountain exploring
