This lovely, spacious chalet is secluded in the Green Mountains of Vermont. It is located at Chimney Hill, a private community. Chimney Hill is a unique community of private homes nestled on a wooded hillside bordered by the Green Mountain National Forest and surrounded by a four-season recreational area. Our Clubhouse is the social center of the community all year round with indoor and outdoor pools, fitness room, hot tub, barbecue facilities, a game room, great room with a projection TV and surround sound, lighted tennis and basketball court. Do you want outdoor activities? We have an ice skating area with lights and a warming hut, four tennis courts, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowmobile trails, stocked fishing pond, and playgrounds for the youngsters. Other activities include golf and tennis tournaments, barbecues, wine tastings, ski racing, and other activities throughout the year, all organized by our superb staff. Our house is within walking distance. to the clubhouse. While there’s plenty to do right on the grounds of Chimney Hill, we also encourage you to explore the Deerfield Valley, and the surrounding areas of Mount Snow and Southern Vermont. You’ll find first-class skiing, championship golf courses, boating, antique and specialty shops, live entertainment, and award-winning restaurants - all within minutes of Chimney Hill. And you won’t find a better place to enjoy the spectacular display of New England fall foliage than from the deck of a Chimney Hill home! The home offers a newly remodeled full kitchen with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, stove/oven, dishwasher, large refrigerator, Washer/Dryer, among other amenities. There is Wi-Fi Internet access, Ruko TV and DVD, CD Player, Movie Library, ski room and a Wood Stove. Outdoors you'll find two decks, grill, and a beautiful grass lawn. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, plus a loft with a Daybed. The house features all new flooring: wall-to-wall carpeting, tile flooring and vaulted ceilings, skylights. Mt. Snow and Haystack Ski are just ten minutes away. 12-mile-long Lake Whitingham is just 2 miles away with swimming, fishing, boat launch and boat rentals. Downtown Wilmington just 3 miles away with Fine dining, shopping, art, antiquing, general store, supermarket. We had a great stay at the Chalet. Location to Mt. Snow and Wilmington was super convenient. The neighborhood is hilly but was easy to navigate (even in the snow). Living area was very comfortable and the wood stove made things very cozy throughout our stay. We cooked in and the kitchen had all the necessities. Overall a great stay - would recommend and book again.

We chose this location for a girl's getaway. The location was great for an event being held at Mt. Snow that weekend. The house was lovely and clean. The town of Wilmington was a surprise to us - we could have spent an entire day browsing the stores. Great weekend away.

Great summer break

The house had everything we needed and plenty of space for all. We spent every (non-rainy) day at the lake. It was beautiful and relaxing. The little town is very cute - my daughters think it looks like the set of “Gilmore Girls.” Highly recommend visiting!

Fall Getaway

This Chalet is cozy but spacious. I loved the open floor plan downstairs. There is plenty of seating in the living room and dining area. We did not spend much time during the day at the house but when we returned to the Chalet from our busy day hiking or shopping we felt like we were coming home. The sleeping accommodations were comfortable as well. We would definitely return.

Nice property and access to clubhouse was great. Only problem was the inaccurate characterization of the “ loft.” It is really just a futon in a broad hallway. No privacy at all especially since guests in other bedrooms have to use the hallway to get to the bathroom

Wonderful house and great location!

This house was the perfect size for the 8 of us. It was cute, comfortable and very clean. The clubhouse is right down the street which we used on a couple rainy days so the kids could swim in the indoor pool. There is a very nice outdoor pool as well. The house is a very short ride to the center of Wilmington and a short ride to a beautiful lake we visited every day. Mike was amazing to work with: very quick to respond to my questions and very kind and accommodating. The only downside was only having a week to spend there! We will definitely book again!!

Warm and Cozy

We had very good time in the house. We came for skiing, but the temperature and wind were so bad, that lifts were closed for almost two days. It didn’t stop us from spending time outside.We walked all the way down from the house to the ice rink following the wooded trail( it was groomed for snowmobiling). At the rink we borrowed ice skates and went skating. We went swimming in the pool in the clubhouse. The next day we went cross country skiing nearby. The house kept warm very well and the wood stove made it very cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable.

Responsive hosts

The cabin was as advertised and pretty comfy! Couple of things kept it from getting five stars: the carpet is pretty worn and in need of a good cleaning. There is a sign asking you to take off your shoes but walking barefoot on it was not pleasant. The whole place could use a deep clean and/or refresh. Especially the kitchen cabinets that were visibly dirty/sticky. There were no kitchen towels, hand towels or wash cloths but there were bath towels. The host was very quick to respond to questions and checked in to make sure we were okay so that was great. And we got a late check-out, which we very much appreciated.

Family Christmas

We needed a place for a family gathering for Christmas, mostly for the sleeping arrangements. This house was cozy and yet there was enough room to sleep 8 people. It was a bit scary the first night during the rain/ice storm but all arrived safely and Chimney Hill was pretty good with plowing even though the weather was rather overwhelming. The following days were fine. Cars that can handle snow and ice are a must in the winter. Nice kitchen and dining / livingroom combination with a wood burning stove. Owners were helpful with any questions.

Clean and comfortable house about 15 mins from Mt Snow. Plenty of space and well stocked for family entertainment, board games, Netflix etc. Would definitely stay again. The clubhouse needs some TLC. Hilly neighborhood so be careful if you are uncomfortable with winter diving.

Great stay

We just returned from a 5 night stay. Michael was a responsive host and answered several questions we had. Easy check in. The home was clean, spacious for a family of 4 (and could have fit another family), and was accurate in the description (3 br, 2 bathrooms; also had fireplace and washer/dryer that we did not use). Home was close to downtown Wilmington and about 15 min from Mt. Snow. We also had access to the community club and used their indoor pool one evening which the kids loved. We would stay again in the future.

We have owned this property since 1997 and exploring the Dear Hill Valley area. The location is great, secluded, high up on the mountain and downtown just a 3 miles away. Mountsnow has world class skiing just 7.5 miles. Lake Witingham just 2.5 miles. great fishing and boating, Full clubhouse privileges.
