The house is great, clean and cozy. We enjoyed the the time with three generations without being limited in space.
The landlord was very nice and cared about everything.
We can absolutely recommend this house!
A delightful, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped cottage with great views over Pembrokeshire hills. With four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and large living room and kitchen and dining room, it's easy to spread out, and a great place to be stuck indoors if the weather isn't cooperative. Totally quiet and peaceful.Llawhaden Castle, only a short walk away, is evocative, with a different feel in different lighting and weather, and usually one has it to oneself. Easy drives to other places. We particularly liked St David's Cathedral, and Haverfordwest is nice to walk around (and for groceries).Jess was a great hostess, always responsive and helpful. Figs and apples from her own trees were a nice touch in the welcome package. This is a truly special place, and we really hope to be able to return.
Property was quite isolated, with no services in the village. We tried to establish this before going but, despite having paid in full, VRBO absolutely refused to help, repeatedly referring us to the "three-day" system, which, for us, was totally unsatisfactory, and would have received no more than one star if the question had been asked. We found that VRBO were very difficult to contact and quite unhelpful when contact was eventually made - just citing three days repeatedly.
The property was fine (very well equipped, etc.) but VRBO were very difficult to get help from.
This property was perfect for us, plenty of space, amenties and very homely. The setting was perfect, it even has a ruined castle in the village. Jess, the property owner, was very friendly and was very easy to contact and gave us loads of information of places we could visit as a family. It all made for a great visit 😊
The house turned out to be perfect for two families, one with a small baby, who had their separate 'wing', so everyone slept undisturbed. The house is very tidy, yet comfy, with a fabulous kids' playroom with amazing vintage toys, and great for playing hide and seek! Beds were very comfy and showers amazing.
The house is perfectly located for exploring South, North and West, and communication with Jess was very straightforward.
Plenty of space for us. We were two families of four and, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms (and an extra toilet) there was a lot of amenity. Relieved that the Aga in the kitchen pic was replaced with a similar-looking but simpler stove with induction hobs.
Great views from the garden to the hills beyond, could even make out the theme park rides in the distance. Some lovely local walks.
Great if you're outdoorsy, in the hamlet of Llawhaden - no local shop or inn - which suited us fine. Narberth was a short drive away, well stocked with all the shops we needed. The south and west coasts of this gorgeous part of Wales were easy to reach.
A great find.
I was so happy and peaceful at this wonderful home I found it difficult to leave and am looking forward to staying there again soon.
Thank you so much for sharing your family home with us!!

A very spacious and comfortable property which was ideal for a family of 5 adults and 2 children. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good but we managed trips to beaches, Tenby and St David’s. The children enjoyed the Dinosaur Park and Clerkenhill Farm which were close by.
The property was well situated with good local walks and runs and great beaches about 40 minutes. Narberth was a great place to pick up supplies and go for coffee. The property was well presented, versatile Nd comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped.
Lovely house, great location. We were worried it might be a bit far from beach , shops etc but it was a very easy drive to everything we needed and lovely to have some peace and quiet to sit in the garden. Check in was easy and communication swift. Couldn’t be better. Also a lovely surprise to find lots of children’s toys, didn’t need to have brought any!
A real home - comfortable and full of the things that make a place a home rather than just somewhere to stay. Lots of space and equipped with everything you need. Lovely location for enjoying rural Pembrokeshire but within easy driving of all that the coastal path has to offer. Would recommend for those looking for tranquility and comfort away from the bustle of everyday life.
The house is huge with plenty of space for people to spread out. Well equipped in the kitchen & a good number of bathrooms for a large group. Enough parking for 3 cars. Lots of family photos and effects which made it homely as well as interesting. Area is very peaceful, only downside for us was there’s no pub or shop within walking distance but that didn’t spoil our stay. Contact with the owner was great, really helpful and prompt responses. The more eagle-eyed in our group spotted a few corners that would benefit from better cleaning but couldn’t fault beds, bathrooms or kitchen. Would definitely recommend.
