Cancelled on the day.

At 8am on the day we were supposed to check in our booking was cancelled and left us unable to attend the event we were supposed to. We were given no explanation as to why it got cancelled. Shocking.

We were excited to stay there. Seemed like a good location. We booked well in advance and paid in full right away. Several times reached out to the owner to inquire about check in details. Never got any response. On the day we arrived even went to the property and found the building, got in as another tenant was leaving and found that the only mailbox that was open (full of mail) was the apartment we rented. Called VRBO who promised to take care of us if at 4:00PM check in was unavailable. It was unavailable. However it took VRBO several hours to approve us to stay in a hotel even though they know this could happen as we called the day before suspecting a problem as well before check in time. Now waiting for VRBO to honor their guarantee and reimburse us for the very expensive hotel we had to use as nothing else was available and they approved our stay there. Will update review if possible. Don’t rent this place!!!!! Have stayed at VRBO properties before in the US, many times, and it has always been excellent!!!
