Comfortable cottage in a great location to explore Northumberland coast
The property was of a good size for 4 people (we were a party of adults: a couple and 2 singles). The third bedroom was quite small and i think it could have been a bit cramped for a couple to share. The place was very clean and well presented with lovely decor throughout. Kitchen looked quite new and was very well equipped. The cottage has a stunning view from the dining room window which looks across the bay. It is within easy walking distance from the harbour and the high street of Amble. This is a very interesting, lively town with a good variety of shops and eating places, including a large Morrisons on the outskirts so all practical needs can be catered for. We had a car so it was easy to use as a base to explore other parts of this lovely county (including Seahouses, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Alnwick and Alnmouth). There were a few niggles regarding accessibility for older or less able people as stairs are quite steep and lack a second bannister- and there is a very high lip at the threshold of the front door which did on one occasion cause a trip. The TV could do with updating to a smart TV as there was very little choice of programme to watch apart from the live channels (no catch up or streaming services). There is a DVD player but there was only 1 in the cottage to use (we added 3 to the collection!). Apart from those minor niggles (which account for the 4 stars rather than 5) I would definitely recommend the cottage for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Wonderful property.
No 4 is really roomy, extremely clean , beautifully decorated with a view to die for. Its in a prime location, near to all amenities but is so quiet. The beach in front of the house has lovely white sand and is very safe for children. Amble is really nice and the locals are very friendly. We highly recommend 4 Bay View and wouldnt hesitate to book again.

Great location house
Great location house right on the harbour side in Amble. Lots of places to visit and walk nearby. We had a few problems with the mattress in the back bedroom and heating boiler both of which were fixed straight away by the property owner. Only improvements are we feel the quality of linnen/towels/bedding/quilts could be improved for a better luxury experience for guests. We will definitely be back due to the location of the house. Thank you

Hi My name is Martin, I started coming to Amble about 20 years ago with my two sons, fishing and boating was the main attraction for us. In 2007 I purchased Bay View, which was in need of a major face lift, so I set about the task in hand with a help from some friends. It was completed in 2009 and has been popular ever since. The son are grow up now, but when ever the house is empty we try are best to use it. Amble has changed over the years but the people are still freindly and helpfull
