Loved our stay in Breckenridge. Would 100% stay that this property again.
It is a 3rd story walk-up. Very comfortable, homey - quiet yet only a 4 minute walk to the Main Street Station plaza by using the pathway east of the Marriott Mountain Valley Lodge. Nice, congenial owner who was pleasure to talk with.
Overall, a great experience
I had a little trouble getting the key code, but it was only because the owner was out of contact on a cruise. His daughter followed up a couple days before the trip, and things were fine after that. We had no parking pass, but we faked it with notebook paper and no one complained.
Probably the only thing negative about the whole stay was the lack of a decent sized pan/skillet. Otherwise, everything was as promised. Great location, clean, access to amenities, spacious... maybe a bit dated, but I couldn't have cared less about that. Once we got over the initial hump, everything was great. Plenty of cleaning products and such so we could keep things neat the whole time.
It would be nice to have a couple spare keys left inside the condo, as opposed to only one key in the box. Keeping tabs on just one key made things a little nervous for someone as compulsive as I am.
I would totally stay there again.
This condo is a nice clean functional property close to everything. My only suggestion is that the unit needs updating.
Great price, less-than-great experience
This felt like a "you get what you pay for" situation. For the size of the condo, the price was VERY good. Even beyond the price per night, this owner takes much less for cleaning and other misc. fees, so it makes the total price per night very attractive. It's a short walk to Main St. with lots of good restaurants/shops. The condo complex has a great pool and jacuzzi area, so that's a nice amenity that we enjoyed. There is also some mountain view from the family room/porch, so we enjoyed that.
Now to the concerns: when we opened the door, the musty/stale smell hit us in the face. I guess we got a little used to it over a few days, but was noticeable every time we entered the condo. We had seen pictures of the furniture, so we knew we were not getting a newly-furnished place. But apart from the TV's, I don't know if anything else in the apartment was newer than 30+ years old. And I didn't even mind sitting on the older couches, but I found myself not wanting to have the bedspread touch me when I slept because it was dusty/musty smelling (all of the sheets and towels were clean/new-ish). As my wife attempted to do some cooking, all of the pans/kitchen tools were worn, dirty, etc. Again, we don't need everything to be new and fancy, but there were numerous things we didn't really want to touch but had to. We had thought about grilling, but as we lifted the lid, it was pretty disgusting, so we scrapped that plan as well.
Overall, if you simply want an inexpensive place that can sleep six, so you can be in Breckenridge, the price is great. But next time, we would spend a little more somewhere just so we could feel comfortable/relaxed in the condo.
Love Breckenridge area
We had a struggle at check in. The owner said vrbo had not notified him of our reservation. So condo was not clean and keys were locked inside from previous stay. After about 5 hours and a locksmith and many calls we got in at about 1am. We changed the sheets in the beds and crashed. Jim was apologetic for mix up. The condo was cleaned the next day and from then on it was a great trip. The condo served our purposes well. Great location and value!
Within walking distance to downtown shopping, 2 blocks. Close to riverwalk activities. Free wifi.
