Beautiful two bedroom property with garden & parking - 10 min to Oxford City

Hinksey Heights is a stunning modern property, 1.8 miles from Oxford City Centre, with a bus stop outside the property and private parking. It’s only 10 mins drive to the city centre or a lovely scenic walk will take about 25 mins.

The accommodation features two large bedrooms (double & twin), bathroom, separate toilet (outside master bedroom on the top floor), a modern open plan living/dining room with lots of natural light and fully equipped kitchen – including a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and ironing facilities.

We provide our guests with free fast WiFi, towels, bed linen, toiletries and tea & coffee. You can also benefit from the use of a stunning large private garden and patio area. We can also provide items such as travel cot & high chair if you have little ones.

Oxford has many tourist attractions you may wish to explore and we are very happy to assist with any information to help you plan your visit and have also provided this info within the guest welcome pack.

Local amenities include a gym, sauna, squash court and swimming facilities which are all available at Oxford Brookes University, a 10-15 min walk from the property.

On Westminster Way (10 min walk away), within West Way Place, there are supermarkets, post office, dry cleaners, butchers, beauty salon, cafes and a Saturday farmers market .

The Fishes is a local pub & restaurant 8 min walk away – this is a hidden gem providing delicious food in beautiful surroundings, a Victorian building set in acres of wooded grounds leading down to a stream and a footpath which leads you through a scenic river walk into the city centre.

A good home base - challenging for longer stays with a family
This property was a good home base if you are driving as a couple as it has one off street car park. The kitchen is well appointed and we could cook meals easily with the tools available. As a family however it was challenging as there really isn’t enough room in the living area for more than a couple if you are staying for a longer stay (we stayed 7 nights). The staircase are fairly steep too which made it challenging with large suit cases. The proximity to Oxford was compromised also by the bridge on the A420 being closed for works so travelling into Oxford was a rather round about route. My summary is that it would be great for a couple but as a family of 3 or more staying for a week it was not as comfortable as we would have hoped.

We couldn’t fault our stay. Susie greeted us on arrival and couldn’t have been any nicer or more helpful. We really appreciated her local knowledge of the area. The flat was perfect and exactly as advertised. All fixtures and fittings were to a high standard and we were lucky enough to be able to sit in the lovely garden. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

Minutes from Oxford
Located close to the city center, the flat is convenient for visiting the sites in Oxford as well as some really good restaurants. It was nice meeting Susie on arrival to show us around the property and give local recommendations. The space is small but it worked well for our short stay.

Lovely place. Beautiful back yard. The dwelling is tricky for tall people as the ceilings are low especially in the bathroom on the third floor. We kept banging our head and we are not particularly tall. The property manager was very responsive. Close to a lovely wooded area but on a busy street.

Lovely, modern property
We enjoyed our stay at Hinksey Heights. It is close to Oxford centre, and the bus stops are directly outside the property. The bypass is very close and quite noisy but the neighbourhood was quiet. The upstairs double bed is a small double, so worth considering if there are 4 of you. The property is beautifully kept and the garden is lovely. The flat is upstairs, so worth noting if you have accessibility needs. Overall all, a really nice place :)
