A stone’s throw from Duns Castle, this detached, single-storey property is a perfect base from which to explore the Scottish Borders.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, 32" Freeview TV

Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds, 28" Freeview TV

Bathroom: P-Shaped Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. . Garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking.. Situated by the woodland of Duns Castle is this comfortable, two bedroom, detached holiday home. The space includes an open-plan living/dining room with a wood burner and two bedrooms, both served by a modern bathroom. The kitchen is well-equipped with a good level of appliances, and outside there is a garden and private parking. Duns Castle Nature Reserve is within walking distance, as is the town centre. Duns Castle is famous as the setting for the film ’Mrs Brown’ and as a wedding location for the footballer Robbie Fowler.



Duns is approximately 15 miles from the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed (which has a main line railway station) and 40 miles from Edinburgh. The local Borders towns of Kelso, Melrose and Jedburgh are steeped in history and well worth a visit. Just over the border you have the attractions of Etal and Ford. There are various activities available locally or further afield. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

We had a comfortable stay. Well equipped cottage. Hosts were friendly and helpful. I would have liked a hairdryer as most accommodation these days do provide one. The dog biscuits were welcome.

I would not have a negative thing to say about cloud cottage, the host Lynda is on hand with a wealth of local and not so local knowledge, duns is a great little town with all the things you need for a week away from home. To go further afield is easy with Berwick one way or Jedburgh the other, our second trip to cloud cottage and I don’t think it will be our last
