About this property

Cambridge 4 bed house. Sleeps 6. Parking &Terrace. 20min walk into town.

Highlights:
Seeking superior serviced accommodation close enough to Cambridge city centre to make accessing it easy, but far enough away for you to enjoy some rest and relaxation? Welcome to Meadow House, a 4 bedroom semi-detached property a mile north of Cambridge with off-road parking and a private terrace and garden. This recently renovated house offers groups of up to 6 friends, family, contractors, and work colleagues a beautifully relaxing home-from-home to stay for the short to long term. With plenty of space to park right outside the front door, you won’t have far to carry your luggage when you arrive at Meadow House, a 4 bed semi-detached home-from-home that’s just a 20 minute walk from the centre of Cambridge.

Description:
And as soon as you step inside, you’ll see just how much time and effort the owners and hosts have dedicated to renovating the entire house, from front to back, top to bottom.

There’s style and comfort to be found in every brightly decorated, beautifully furnished room. The open plan living room and dining area is a prime example, with its comfy sofas and armchair inviting you to take the weight off those feet and relax. Maybe take the time to read a book, enjoy each other’s company, or watch the flat screen satellite television that’s neatly wall-mounted between the sofas.

The dining table provides a great space for everyone to gather for casual or formal eating. Of course, you can use the table to play games or get some work done if you’re visiting Cambridge on business. The whole house is served by fast Wi-fi, so remote working and keeping in touch with colleagues and clients is a breeze.

You also get a good view of the garden from the dining table. It’s such a bonus to have private outside space you can easily access. There’s another table and chairs out there offering more space to sit down and relax during your stay.

Back inside and into the kitchen which, just like the rest of the house, has been completely refurbished. New appliances (including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, and washer dryer) are ready to use, and there’s plush countertops on which to prepare food, and quality cabinets in which to store everything.

Flexibility is the keyword when it comes to the 4 bedrooms in Meadow House. Two of the rooms have one single bed each, but the others have beds that can either be configured as a super kingsize or two singles. Just let your hosts know how you’d like the beds to be arranged for your stay and everything will be organised.

Maybe you want 6 single beds so you can stay somewhere that’s way more spacious and homely than a cramped hotel or B&B room. Perhaps you’re seeking somewhere to share with work colleagues or fellow contractors, or you’re key workers looking for accommodation or somewhere to self-isolate during the COVID crisis.

Equally, you could be visiting Cambridge as a family or group of friends and want a combination of super kingsize and single beds. Your needs can be accommodated here, and whichever bed you sleep in, you’ll find it comfortable and relaxing as well as beautifully presented. One of the double bedrooms has the bonus of a desk and chair set in a snug alcove, great for getting some work done in a quiet and private area of the house. All guests get to share the family bathroom with a huge walk-in shower (that’s new, of course). And there’s a handy second WC in the house.

Your hosts are delighted to give up to 6 guests exclusive use of Meadow House, a smart 4 bed property in Cambridge. You will have private use of the property, including the house, drive, terrace, and garden. Ensuring everyone in your group has a great stay, whether it’s for the weekend, a week, or longer term, is the main priority of your hosts. So they’ll make sure you can easily contact them should you have questions or issues they can help you with. Contact details will be shared with you when your booking is confirmed.

Neighbourhood:
Welcome to Meadow House, a beautifully refurbished semi-detached house just 20 minute’s walk from Cambridge’s wonderfully historic yet very modern city centre. There’s a grocery store within 300 meters (360 yards) of the house, and three good pubs all with half a mile.

The house is popular this year for staycations. Cambridge has so much to offer and makes an ideal getaway for a week or long weekend. Meadow house is the perfect choice for your Cambridge holiday as it has all the comforts of home and is only a 20 minute walk into the centre of town.

The property is in a great location to make it ideal for NHS staff needing access to nearby hospitals, or for families who want to be near someone having treatment.

You can also easily reach the local business parks from here, making the house ideal for colleagues or groups of contractors. The property is also suitable for university staff and students requiring accommodation, and for families attending events at the university.

Of course, you could be wanting quality serviced accommodation in Cambridge because you’re visiting the area on a weekend away or a longer break, in which case, it’s good to know that all of these places can be easily reached from the house:

Cambridge Quayside for punting hire (0.9 miles)
Jesus Green for the Cambridge Beer Festival (1 mile)
Cambridge city centre (1.1 mile) - for shops, coffee shops, bars, restaurants
Bridge of Sighs, Mathematical Bridge and The Backs (1.2 miles)
Kings Parade for the colleges and university museums (1.3 miles)
Cambridge Arts Picture House (1.3 miles)

Getting Around:
With ample off-road, private parking space outside the house, driving here is a good option. The house can be easily reached from the A14 Junction 32 (1.2 miles away) and from the M11, A11, and A10. But a car is by no
means a necessity, as Cambridge city centre is just over a mile from the house, so can be reached in 20 minutes on foot, and in about 10 minutes if you cycle. You can also hire local taxis to get you to various destinations, or use local bus services. Three different routes stop at the end of the street that will take you into the city centre.

Cambridge railway station is also not too far away and the station has services that connect with many UK destinations, including London, Norwich, Ipswich, and Stansted Airport.

Speaking of airports, Cambridge Airport is within easy reach, and it’s from there that you can catch scheduled flights to Gothenburg and Manchester as well as charter flights.

Ladies catch up weekend
This property is very well presented and comfortable. The location is ideal as it is 20minute walk to the centre of Cambridge. If you turn right out of the front door within a 5 minute walk you have a bus stop, Aldi, co-op, Iceland and a good Chinese take away. Ample parking for 3 cars and the street was very quiet. Nice garden to sit out in and fortunately this property stays cool on hot day!! Kitchen is well equipped, not that we ate in much with so many fab places to eat, in Cambridge, with so many lovely things to see. Great for us as a group of 4 ladies having our yearly catch up. Host very responsive. Would stay here again.

Fab house for a mini reunion
Stayed here as a group of 6 old school friends. Everything was brilliant. House is ideally situated 20 minutes walk from the city centre, in a quiet street. The house had everything we needed and communication with the property manager was excellent.

Friends away in Cambridge
This property is in an ideal place to explore Cambridge, just a 15-20 min walk into the city. We celebrated the coronation in the house during the Saturday morning before heading out for an explore. Fabulous day Sunday punting on the river before sitting in the sun. The house was fab for our party of 3 couples(one couple shared a single bed!) and the only downside to the entire weekend was that the house felt slightly damp(we had had torrential rain on Saturday!)
