Casa Donna Franco was a beautiful location to tour around Castiglione di Sicilia. Our host connected us to her daughter who speaks English to meet us for checkin. She was patient and communicative and gave helpful suggestions for where to eat around town. The views from each room and patio were amazing and the weather allowed us to maximize our time on the outdoor patio. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for daily breakfasts. The little market up the hill had everything we needed for our stay and the town had everything within walking distance. Parking was nearby and Google Maps was not helpful in getting us to the square to where we parked. Google took on the narrow roads that Maria was trying to help us avoid by using the larger road. Maria’s advice was helpful and got us to the right road in the end.

Super Ferienwohnung mit super Ausblick

Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben, sauber und genügend Platz. Man hat einen tollen Ausblick auf das Alcantara-Tal und ist fern ab von Touri-Hotspots. Man sollte etwas erfahren im Autofahren sein, da Castiglione di Sicilia auf einem Berg liegt und sehr verwinkelt ist.

Italien in seiner ursprünglichsten Form

Für unsere Ansprüche ausreichend. Die Küchenausstattung war etwas dürftig und die Heizung/Klima-Anlage nur bedingt nutzbar, da das Stromnetz zu schwach ist. Die Warmwasserversorgung erfordert "Mut" beim Duschen - das Wasser wird nur lauwarm! Der steile Treppenaufgang im Haus und die Gassen im Ort erfordern eine gute körperliche Kondition. Wir haben uns trotz der kleinen Einschränkungen sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind groß und die Betten ausgesprochen bequem.
