"We had a lovely week-long stay at this beautiful and very well appointed and comfortable home from home. Just over 10 minutes’ walk from town and also just minutes from the stunning fossil beach, a trove of wonderful finds and rock pools.
"Excellently appointed, you will have everything you need for your break and a lovely south facing garden to relax and enjoy the sunshine. We were blessed with good weather too.
"Great location from which to explore the area - including Dunster village, castle and beach, Minehead, Kilve, Porlock, Lynmouth, Exmoor and the Quantock Hills.
"Great venues and places of interest dotted around the locality including the Torre cider farm and Cleeve Abbey.
"Our helpful and kind host responded promptly to all queries. We can’t recommend the Foxings highly enough."

Everything was fine. Wasn't sure if there was a freezer couldn't see one, and there was no guidance for usage of the property, ie TV, Freezer?, bins. We managed OK. Also not used to the 'lived in' vibe through Vrbo. ie Own contents and food items still there. These sound like negatives but more opinion/review, bed and showers were good, living area roomy, and nice garden to sit in. Overall a nice 3 night stay, Watchet is a nice little town and a train ride to Dunster a good day out. Walk into town is about 10 minutes. Cats Whiskers well worth a visit for food.

Hi Sarah, thanks for leaving a review. I will look into the info available as I thought the freezer was listed in the garage. Food items left - i found a couple of dry items in a cupboard including two of my sons un opened Easter eggs. Hands up! It was before the season starts fully and the annual 'sweep' had not been done. The condiments cupboard always has salt, peppper, herbs, few spices, sauces
etc...saves guests having to buy them. The house is stocked with soap and toilet rolls too so the 'sparce' feel you may get in a budget accomodation doesnt apply. Thanks for mentioning the remote - the batteries had gone in one of them which allows you to access all the menu options. Glad you loved Watchet, pleaae come back soon. Best wishes Dawn
Super clean and comfortable... a home from home.Set in a lovely harbour town and within an area of Somerset which is outstandingly beautiful, this lovely house was in a quiet area of town and had plenty of parking for 2 cars..It had everything you need for a very comfortable stay and Dawn was a very communicative and helpful host.
Great house and location to enjoy the local area, you can walk into Watchet in around 10 mins…lots of places to eat and drink there. House is good for pets with a secure garden as well. Dawn is a super host, always happy to help.Would definitely recommend.
Ticked every box especially the cleanliness. Everything we needed was there. Excellent location for us. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Hi Sue and Family, thank you for your review that really means a-lot. I have passed in onto the lady that housekeeps too.
I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and family occasion. Would love to welcome you back. Warm Regards Dawn
Lovely property. All mod. cons. Secluded garden. well maintained. Situated on small newly built housing estate. Very close to the sea with easy access to the main road. Nearby coastal path to village with pub, shops and take aways etc. Look forward to visiting again.
Had a wonderful stay in Watchet! Dawn is a great host and was so helpful in providing information prior to our stay, to help us access the house with ease. The house itself is a lovely new detached property in a very quiet residential area, with a sunny garden and comfortable garden furniture. It is just a short (15 minute) walk to reach the Esplanade, harbour, station and all of the other great amenities Watchet has to offer - and just 5 minutes from the Coastal Path, leading to nearby Helwell Beach, which is great for fossils. We are keen walkers and there were some lovely trails right from the doorstep. We we also enjoyed taking the steam train to Dunster and exploring the nearby area. The house itself is bright, beautifully furnished and a very comfortable place to stay. It is extremely well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a great stay. We booked the house for 5 nights and travelled as a couple. The house had 2 other bedrooms with single beds, which would suit 2 children. Dawn is an excellent host! She provided very helpful information prior to or trip and also sent us some great local links to help us explore the area. We loved Watchet so much that we wanted to extend our stay to include the Carnival weekend - and Dawn responded very rapidly and helpfully to enable us to book an additional night so we could enjoy the celebrations!Would highly recommend staying here - thank you Dawn for making our stay so enjoyable!
Spacious and clean, well looked after, exactly what yu need for a week away. 10 mins to shops and pubs in the village. All as described and the owner was very accommodating. Thank you.
We had a fantastic week staying in this wonderful clean property!
Very accurate description of the property and extremely clean and well maintained. There was very helpful information available to us about the local area. The house was perfectly suited for my family and the kids (8 and 11) absolutely loved the bedrooms. Great location for a week by the beach! We hope to return again.
We had a lovely family holiday using the house as a base to explore. We enjoyed visiting local area - watchet, red anchor bay & minehead & we also explored Exmoor national park. We also visited north devon for some surfing & sunny beach days.
The house was perfect for our children who enjoyed playing with the toys & books that were left in the bedrooms. The bathrooms were well stocked with toilet roll & hand soap & there were plenty of towels. There was also a washing machine & drier so we could wash our beach things off. There’s also a playground close to where the house is which is really handy.
All in all, the house was exactly what we needed & we would definitely stay again.
Had a lovely stay in this new modern house. Plenty of parking and a lovely quiet road, just a short walk from the beach, town, shops and take-ways. As described, there was a lovely sunny garden.

I'm a working mum who was born and bred in Somerset. I love the coastal countryside, especially Exmoor and North Devon coast. I'm passionate about my heritage and support local whenever I can.
Why they chose this property
I love the marina, the esplanade day and night which resonates with me, as it reminds me of my childhood. I know Exmoor well and I'm fortunate to introduce my boys to it all. They practically grew up on West beach crabbing in Watchet!
What makes this property unique
Homely, relaxing, peaceful, it's a little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of daily life with a sunny disposition and a gentle sea breeze in the garden.
