The village of Bankfoot is conveniently located just 6 miles north of Perth and just off the main A9 heading north. Located in the heart of the village you are only a few minutes walk to all the village amenities. There are 2 pubs serving food, a well stocked village store selling local butchery and bakery products and the Perthshire Visitor Centre housing a Restaurant, Deli and Gift Shop. A short cycle ride will take you to Stewart Towers Dairy Farm & Shop - famous for their delicious homemade ice cream. Bankfoot is only a few miles from the historic village of Dunkeld where you will find plenty of other restaurants and a lovely selection of independent shops and cafes. The property itself is very comfortable and spacious. There are 3 large bedrooms furnished with comfy beds and plenty of space to relax. The dining kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances (dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave induction hob and oven). There is a further and more formal dining area located in the lounge that has a picture window and french doors out to a sheltered balcony boasting stunning views across the Perthshire countryside. This is an ideal property for a quiet and relaxing break or as a base to tour Perthshire. (Fans of the Outlander TV series will be close to several of the filming locations!) The area is ideal for walking, cycling, fishing or skiing - there is plenty for the active visitor. However, Dundee, St Andrews, Pitlochry and Blairgowrie are all easily accessible by car and there are rail links located in both Perth and Dunkeld that can take you to Glasgow or Edinburgh within 1 1/2 -2 hours.

The space was perfect for our family reunion. Spacious, comfortable, spotless with all the amenities and we loved the area and the closeness of the shops and some lovely walks. Very happy we picked this unit for our holiday. Thank you Ruth :)
L'emplacement était très intéressant pour nous. À environ une heure des grandes villes (Édimbourg, Dundee, Glasgow, St Andrew...) et facilement accessible pour les activités dans les Highlands.
Positif :
- Bel emplacement. Village calme.
- Appartement spacieux et bien aménagé.
- Hôte facilement accessible
- Lorsqu'un ventilateur sur pied s'est mis à faire du bruit, l'hôte l'a rapidement remplacé.
À améliorer :
- Connexion internet ridiculement lente. Ne correspond pas aux standard attendues à notre époque. C'est d'autant plus problématique que la couverture cellulaire est mitigé à cet endroit.
- Le lave-linge est tombé en panne au pire moment : nous avions besoin de linge propre pour finir notre voyage et prendre l'avion. Nous avons dû annuler une activité pour aller faire le lavage à une buandrie à Perth. :-(
- Il n'y a pas d'eau chaude dans la cuisine. Si on veut laver la vaisselle à main, il faut faire chauffer une bouilloire et la mélanger manuellement à l'eau froide.
Lovely accommodation. Very comfortable and spacious. Very well equipped. Our host, Ruth, made us feel very welcome and left us a lovely welcome pack. A lot of walks nearby with plenty of places to explore. Thank you Ruth, we had a great week (with lovely weather!)
Lovely property in wonderful location. Host supplied everything we could possibly need including a much appreciated welcome parcel of food and drink for when we arrived late in the day after a 9 hour journey . Couldn’t fault anything and would happily return to both the property and the area.
