Lovely contemporary and spotless cottage, well equipped and in a great location. Dale the host, was great with recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. Loved it!
We had an absolutely brilliant time, staying at Dale and Nina’s. Really liked the decor of the house and the location is perfect. Everything worked well and no issues with parking close to the property as we arrived later in the day. Our children are 3 & 5 and loved the place too. We’ll defo be back, thanks for having us.
Very comfortable cottage with everything we needed.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location to explore Whitstable and surrounding towns/countryside.
Lovely house in whitstable - good sized property with a garden. Plenty of space for 4 adults.
Design was great and modern - has a very well equipped kitchen too.
Only compliant for us was that the beds were a bit hard for our liking, but that could just be personal preference.
Would recommend staying here.
Excellent well cared for cottage in an amazing location. Only downside was the steep stairs. Ok if you don’t suffer from mobility issues but I am not as nimble as I once was so caution was required
We had a fantastic stay in this lovely property which is in a great location in Whitstable.
It’s cosy with great decor, and the kitchen has a good range of cookware.
The garden was small but perfectly formed - great for the sunny days!
Lilly Cottage was fabulous- beautifully appointed as you can see in the photos, full of character, but also spotlessly clean!
We had everything we needed, comfy beds and lots of hot water for our stay in charming Whitstable.
The location is great, for a short walk to the harbour, through the village with restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.
Thoroughly enjoyed and would love to return!
We had such a great little family break to Whitstable staying at Lily Cottage. It was such a great location, so close to shops, restaurants and the beach and very cosy. Our son really enjoyed the garden too. Communication with Dale was brilliant and gave us great tips and recommendations. Thanks Dale and Nina for a lovely stay!
This is an exceptional property in a lovely location. The photos are exactly as the property appears. Great location, 30 seconds from the high street and five minutes from the beach. Owners were very responsive. We had a lovely time and would go again in a heartbeat.
Excellent place to stay close to Whitstable centre and beach
Lilly Cottage is absolutely gorgeous. The decor of the whole place makes it feel homely and welcoming. The location is perfect too with the high street within 1 minute and the beach front about 5 mins away. Dale and Nina were great to deal with too and gave lots of local information prior to our arrival to make the whole experience seamless :)
The house is lovely - such a close walk to town and the station. Dale was the most exceptional host, so communicative and helpful. Really appreciated it! Definitely keen to come back. The house was so nice that we ended up spending a whole morning sitting in the sun in the garden. Couldnt recommend more! Thank you
Dale and Nina really deserve superhost status. All queries were answered very promptly, the cottage was spotless and all of the fixtures and fittings were in good order. A lot of thought has gone into decoration and the property is extremely well presented.
There are lots of interesting modern prints which have been thoughtfully placed to respect the period details of the cottage. It is in a great location and we enjoyed fantastic walks and lovely restaurants and bars. The little garden was an added bonus. I would book again without hesitation.
Traditional town terrace house with an excellent location for good restaurants and shops.
2 good sized bedrooms with one upstairs bathroom and a good walk in shower plus wc downstairs.
Well equipped with a small sunny yard equipped with deck chairs.
Steep narrow staircase as you would expect in a traditional home of this type.
On street parking is a bit of a challenge but there’s a council car park nearby if all else fails.
All in all we had an excellent stay in this lovely home
We chose this because it was just off the main street and location was the main factor. Parking was OK (we were told there was no off street parking with the property). The house was attractive and beautifully curated - the photographs were accurate - with plenty of nice touches. The ground floor wet room was excellent and because of the steep stairs, the upstairs bathroom was handy for the bedroom, but we didn't shower there. With just the two of us we used the clothes storage in both rooms - if four people were staying, hanging and drawer space might be an issue - but we never travel light and had to pack for the changeable weather. The heating/hot water was good and plentiful. The kitchen was well equipped but a bright 'white' light for cooking during the evening when there is no natural light, would be helpful, but we only cooked dinner one evening. Due to the weather we had no opportunity to use the garden, but during the summer it would be good to have the use of the pleasant, private, open space. We ate at three of the local restraurants which were all excellent and in the centre of Whitstable, but I would recommend booking ahead which I did (we ate out Fri/Sat/Sun evenings). I have some mobility issues and the stairs were challenging for me but I am recovering from surgery and need to stretch myself. I am sure these would not be a problem for the more fit and able bodied. Would we return - yes. The host responded very promptly to queries beforehand, which was good
The cottage is perfect in every way. It is beautifully decorated and styled. There is everything there you need. Dale and Nina were very helpful and responded to all queries quickly and positively. We would definitely stay here again. Location was great too!
Lovely house in a great location - we loved Lilly cottage.
Lilly cottage was perfect for our long weekend away exploring Whitstable.
Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and so comfortable, especially the beds. I wish my own house was as lovely!
The house was in a quiet residential road just off the high street - so close to everything whitstable has to offer.
We absolutely loved Lilly Cottage, would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. Thank you Dale and Nina for sharing your wonderful home.
A couple of things to note: the stairs to the bedrooms are steep (as is to be expected from a renovated old fisherman’s cottage) and street parking nearby is tricky. (Next time I think we’ll head straight to one of the long stay carparks in whitstable rather than looking for street parking).
I stayed here with my husband and another couple. we all appreciated that the house offers two double beds and two bathrooms with great style. The location is incredible. It's a stone's throw away from the main road with clothing shops, coffee shops and cafes. It's also a 6-8 minute walk from the beach! Would recommend this place to others.
