Chiefly, Mors is known for its great moler formations that rise above the coast line on the northern part of the island. With its 61 meters, Hanklit is the most well-known moler formation. Do not cheat yourself of the fantastic view from the top that overlooks the waters of Thisted Bredning and the hilly landscape on the island. Also in this area is Salgjerhøj that towers the landscape with its 89 meters, which makes it the tallest point on the island. If you take the walk to the top, you are granted a unique nature and an impressive view overlooking the island and the Limfjord.
Another fantastic site is Ejerslev Harbor on the north eastern side of Mors, at which you can experience the beautiful lagoon and even more moler formations. Here, you are allowed to seek your fortune as a fossil hunter. At the harbor, there is also a small café. Close to the harbor, you find the Fossil and Moclay Museum that exhibits finds, which holds the history of 50 millions years. Additionally, the agricultural museum Skarregaard holds the history of the 1950-farmer's life and is situated beautifully by the fjord and the two Skarre lakes. The museum also has a nice nature playground.
Nykøbing is the largest town on the island and is home to several attractions. For instance, Dueholm Monastery, which is a museum of local history, and the Danish Foundry Museum that exhibits old Morsø stoves and cookers. The charming pedestrian street connects the town and the marina, which is full of life during summer. Moreover, it is also in Nykøbing you find Morsø Golf Club's beautiful course with 18 holes.
South of the town, the scenic area Legind Bjerg is located. Here, there are waymarked trails and trails for mountain bikers. This is also home to Jesperhus, a vacation park with experience such as a big, beautiful flower garden, a pirate-themed playland, 4D-cinema, and much more.
Indeed, the island holds experiences to last several days.
