Villa Cocheira | Beach House with Private Pool | Ferragudo, Portugal

‘Cocheira’ means ‘carriage house’, which was the former function of this beautifully located beach house close to Praia Grande, the beach of Ferragudo. The carriage house used to belong to the neighboring Castle of Ferragudo. However, in last century the carriage house has been split from the castle and has gotten its own independent purpose. In 2016, the current owners started the transformation of the carriage house into a luxury villa.

Accommodation: 8 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, 16 persons

Bedrooms
The luxury beach house has 4 bedrooms at the ground level and 4 on the first floor. The beds can set up apart or as double beds with mattress topper.

Kitchen
Well-equipped kitchen with: a large induction hob, wine fridge, double hot air oven, filter and coffee cup machine. Large dining table for 16 persons!

Living
Sit and relax in the large lounge with Sonos music system and large smart TV.

Garden
From the living room, you can access the large garden with a high diversity of fruit trees. A beautiful terrace is located on the left side of the villa. In the garden is also a non-heated pool.

Other spaces
The large mezzanine, which functions as a relax area, shows a great view of the kitchen and the living room. The spacious entrance of the villa provides access to the mezzanine and consists of a guest bathroom.

Outside Cocheira Beach House
The walled garden of the villa has private parking up to 4 cars. There is a large wooden deck with dining table, chairs, lounge area and shade, looking over the garden and private pool. For the barbecue masters, there is a large gas bbq available!

Brilliant Location Close to the beach

We had an amazing stay for a family gathering at Villa Chocheira. We had a mixture of family members including an Aunt, 2 young families, and grandparents. The space was perfect - there were two sets of bedrooms that could be shut off to create an ideal 'family space' for naps and a bit of privacy. There was a large central living space (indoor and outdoor) that could be shut off from the pool and allowed for some 'co-parenting' of small children. The kitchen was large and well stocked for some delicious food creation. The nearby beaches were only a 5 minute walk away and were very suitable for children (no large waves, gentle slope into water). There was some street noise, particularly on the weekends but the space is lovely and has tall walls with lockable doors to keep children safe. There was also plenty of off street parking. We loved our time and would return in a heartbeat - the space would be ideal for couples, families, or other combinations.

Cocheira Beach House, Ferragudo

This is a stunning contemporary villa, extremely well laid out and equipped for a large group of family or friends. The outside space is very private and the villa is well located, close to the beach and only a short walk into Ferragudo.

Excellent villa

We stayed here with all our family to celebrate my husbands 80 th birthday. The villa was large and spacious with everything you could need for a big group. The pool was lovely and we were near to the beach and restaurants. All the family rated it five star.

Das schönste Haus, das wir je gemietet haben

Wir waren im Mai 2022 für eine Woche mit insgesamt zwölf Freunden in dem Haus. Das Haus ist einfach perfekt, es hat jedem von uns gefallen. Großzügige Doppelzimmer, jedes hat ein eigenes toll gestaltetes Bad. Ausgezeichnetes und durchdachtes Design überall im Haus. Tolle Lage (2 Minuten zu Fuß vom Strand entfernt.). Ein schöner Pool mit Sonnenliegen und Schirmen. Eine große Terrasse, dort ein riesiger Tisch. Eine Superausstattung des Hauses inklusive der Küchenausstattung. Alles aufeinander abgestimmt, sehr modern, geschmackvoll und stylisch. Es hat einfach alles gestimmt. Die Einweisung in das Haus, die Betreuung während unseres Aufenthaltes sowie die Abnahme waren ebenfalls super (vielen Dank an Natalia). Insgesamt können wir sagen, dass das Haus seinesgleichen sucht (und wir haben in Vergangenheit schon viele Häuser gemietet). Vielen lieben Dank für alles! Judith, Renata und Freunde
