About this property

The Game Keepers Lodge rural & good for isolation

Small detached house, 15 mins walk from Welwyn North station & taxis, 20 mins from historic Welwyn Village. On train: 35 minutes to Kings Cross London, 3 hours to York, 45 mins in car to Cambridge, 1 hour 20 to Oxford. Easy access to A1, M1 & M25. Walks, cycle paths, pubs & restaurants nearby

Large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room with sofa bed. Large upstairs bedroom with washing area, bathroom (bath & shower), large garden. Games room (table tennis, pool & bar football) on request

In beautiful grounds in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside. Surrounded by many great pubs, restaurants and places of interest for people of all ages. Pool, table tennis and bar football available by arrangement. The Lodge is furnished with hotel grade bed linen, the rooms and garden are large.

All of the lodge is for the exclusive use of our guests except for the boiler room, which we also use for storage

I take pets at my discretion. I charge for dogs so please contact me for rates. Can be booked together with the Game Keeper's Cottage, which sleeps 8 and can sleep 10 because the dining room and lounge can both be converted to bedrooms using single or double mattresses on the floor.

The nearest pub, The White Horse at Burnham Green, is 15 minute walk away. The food was OK the last time I ate there and it has a very nice garden. About 2.5 miles away, the Plume of Feathers is a Greene King pub and is very affordable. The garden is also large and pleasant. If you want to walk along country road to Datchworth, you will find the Horns pub about 2 miles away. The food is good and Alice and Efa will give you a wonderful welcome. If you enjoy historic buildings, this one is for you. It was built in about 1543 when King Henry V111 was on the throne.
