Good evening Carol, To be honest with you I am gobsmacked by your very unfair review considering the exchanges we had both by email and via text. I will of course challenge it with VRBO based on our previous written communication by email and text. Regarding your definition of 'high price without any luxury', please allow me to invite you to check the definition of luxury when it comes to a villa as you will find that a pool, location, natural light, quality furnishing, comfortable amenities and architectural elements are all part of the very definition of luxury property. Regarding your arrival at the villa: you arrived at the villa at 1am in the morning, not your fault of course as I was well aware that the flight landed in Cagliari after 9 pm, but, as promised and as we are accustomed to, Karim and I waited to hear from you on the night of your arrival in case you needed help with navigation. You never got in touch. You had google maps coordinates and full address of the villa. Very few people had problems reaching the villa but when it happens, it usually happens at night so we always wait until our guests are safely in. Since we are really committed to do our best to make our guests' holidays as stress free and as enjoyable as possible we rarely go to sleep on Saturday before we know our guests have safely reached the villa. but you never got in touch with us in spite of me explicitly asking you to do so when you informed me that you had left the airport. The guests that had confusing directions from their GPS (I have no control over them) simply called us and got all the help they needed to get to the villa as soon as possible and with as little stress as possible. You never got in touch with us. Regarding your unbelievable claim that we only check the villa at the beginning of the season, how can you possibly claim that? The property is thoroughly checked before the arrival of every new guest. As you rightly wrote in your text message on the Sunday after your arrival, it would be a perfect world if every guest would made us aware of any malfunctioning so that we can promptly act to solve the problem and substitute the malfunctioning items, if any, as soon as possible. The only complaints you had during your stay (on the Sunday after I contacted you and not viceversa) regarded the kettle that did not switch off and a broken corkscrew. You had them both replaced within 20 hours, the time for the shops to open and for Karim to get to you. As for the cheap bedding, you are again being totally unfair as all our bedding are hotel standard bedding, cleaned and sterilised by a fully certified company. I have receipts to prove it, please feel free to ask form them, VRBO will receive them for sure. Whilst on holiday you did not mentioned any issue except for the kettle and the corkscrew. Actually, you mentioned a beach umbrella that you claimed you found broken, I did not argue with you even if the cleaners deny that it was broken. Since it was one's word against another, I did not charge you for it and just let it go. It was an unusually windy week when you came so I imagine that things in the garden and on the beach got broken and flown away very easily. Also, as you may see from my review to you I gave you a 2 out of 5 for cleaning because you left the villa in terrible conditions. So if we really only checked the property at the beginning of the season, as you totally unfairly wrote, we would never have found all the dirty cutlery and dishes left by you and the guests that came after you would have paid the price for it. Everything in the kitchen had to be rewashed and, as par house rules, I should have charged you for it. I did not because I thought that you were so engrossed in enjoying your holiday that you did not want to worry about even the simplest of chores. However, I did charge you for the Kw used to operate the air-conditioning units, again as per contract, though not for the price initially quoted but much lower (€29.70 in total). But you see Carol you were the only family in 2024, except for another family that stayed for two weeks, to pay for the air-conditioning. The reason is that we only really charge the cost of the air-conditioning when we realise that the units have been used without any consideration of whether they are needed or not. When you saw the charge is when the tone of your messages changed. It is such a shame that for such a small amount you should write such a bitter review. So sorry it had to end this way but please give my best regards to Emma as she has always been delightful to deal with.

Hello Elizabeth, I am really sorry that instead of replying to me when I sent you the email to see how your holiday went you preferred to go straight to the reviews link I sent to you. I am especially sorry that your reviews contains complaints you never made to me directly neither when you were in Torre, nor once you left. Had I been informed I would have definitely done my best to deal with them and make your stay more comfortable. You met Francesco a couple of times during your stay and did not say anything to him either. You also had my mobile number, I wished you called me as I deal immediately with situations that cause discomfort to my guests as holidays are really sacred to me. You never said anything about the matress, which by the way is a rather expensive one, and of the same make and quality of the single beds, being all orthopedic. I am therefore very surprised that you found the single bed more comfortable, and especially that your husband slept in the sofa as it is 70 cm long and 30 cm wide! He must have been really uncomfortable. Having said that, I respect other people's preferences so had I known that you found the matress too hard to sleep on I would have changed it immediately with another one I have in a nearby villa (the one by the entrance). Unfortunately i cannot solve problems unless I am informed of them. I have waited to reply to your review because I wanted more people to use the matress and asked for feedback through Francesco, no complains fortunately. As for the shops I am really sorry, I was not aware of it, the shops are usually open every single day of the week starting from Easter week and until the end of October, and that is why my villa is available only from Easter. The week before your arrival, Easter week, the shops were open every day, but then since Easter was very early this year and there was hardly anyone in Torre delle Stelle, the owners decided to close monday to thursday until the 19th. You have been very unlucky but believe me I would never have left you and your family stranded in Torre delle Stelle without a car, I would have rather lend you my car or done the shopping for you.... I just wish you had given me or Francesco a call and given me a chance to make your stay more comfortable. Kind regards Angela
