This cosy rural villa for six provides authentic experience of the Mediterranean village as it once was.
Restored using authentic materials, it has a traditional feel of belonging to a place. During 2009 restoration we tried to keep villa's authentic shape with careful attention to details. The villa offers all comfort one might look for in a contemporary home in harmony with tradition and nature.
The villa has kitchen, dining area and living room; 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.
One bedroom (stone bedroom) with double bed and a bathroom is on the ground floor. Kitchen, dining area and living room, bathroom and one bedroom (pink bedroom) with two single beds and a private balcony are on the first floor. The third bedroom (romantic bedroom) is on the attic. There are outside stairs from ground floor (stone bedroom) to the 1st floor, and inner stairs only from the 1st floor to the attic (romantic bedroom).
The villa has yard surrounded by the stone walls and a porch with a beautiful large table. In front of the villa there is a barbecue and a pool (5x3) with a beautiful view on the surrounding mountains and sea.

Wonderful Weekend Away

Kleine Perle für ruhige Aufenthalte

Das Ferienhaus ist schön abseits vom Tourismus gelegen. Die Anfahrt ist abenteuerlich, aber man wird dafür mit Stille und Privatsphäre belohnt, schmale Straßen sollten einen nicht abschrecken. Das Ferienhaus ist fantastisch, sehr sauber und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Der Pool ist bei heißem Wetter ein absolutes Highlight und wurde von uns sehr viel genutzt. Durch die Lagen in den Bergen ist die Aussicht, vor allem nachts, spektakulär. Gute Ausgangslage, um Ausflüge sowohl ins Landesinnere als auch zum Strand zu machen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Das Haus ist einzigartig und die Ruhe bzw. Abgeschiedenheit sensationell. Vielen Dank!

Ferienhaus mit rustikalem Charme

Wir haben sehr schöne Ferien in diesem Haus verbracht. Es liegt oberhalb von Griżane am Fuße der Berge. Der Pool ist toll. Der Hausbesitzer macht ihn jeden 2. oder 3. Tag sauber. Mit Kindern und Jugendlichen einfach toll. Es wurde sich um alle Belange schnell gekümmert. Der Standort ist auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen oder die 10 minütige Fahrt zum Meer in Crikvenica. Im Ort Griżane (10 Minuten zu Fuß) gibt es einen Konsum. Das Haus ist gemütlich und bietet verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt ist die Feuchigkeit in den alten, aber schönen Gemäuern, die man etwas riecht. Daher muss viel gelüftet werden. Wir haben im Dachgeschoss mit Klimaanlage bestens geschlafen.

Das Haus ist schön, kein Zweifel! Aber die Außenwände haben keine Drainage. Es riecht muffig, egal wie viel man lüftet. Das Zimmer im Erdgeschoss ist kalt und klamm, da kann man gar nicht schlafen. Klimaanlage im Dachstübchen ist defekt, läuft als Lüfter, kühlt nicht. Wir haben uns trotzdem erholt. Nur, der Vermieter muss dringend was am Haus machen!

Die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Das Haus ist dekorativ und detailverliebt eingerichtet. Insgesamt ist das Haus gut ausgestattet. Es fehlte lediglich an Kleinigkeiten, wie Handfeger und Schippe, ein Lappen oder Mülltüten. Der Pool ist wirklich sehr hübsch hergerichtet und hat eine wunderbare Aussicht. Eine Ausschilderung zur Ferienwohnung wäre wirklich ein guter Service für alle Besucher, da das Navi die Adresse nicht kannte und selbst als wir die Koordinaten eingegeben hatte wollte uns das Navi noch viel höher schicken, wo die Wege für das Befahren mit dem PKW nicht mehr ausreichen. Das ist dann unnötiger Stress, welchen man nach einer langen Reise nicht braucht. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine und am Pool die Möglichkeit zu grillen. Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht ist hier auf jeden Fall richtig.

Tolle Aussicht, wir haben die Veranda und den Ausblick dort sehr genossen, sehr ruhig gelegen, super freundliche Gastgeber. etwas nerviger Nachbarshund, das etwas ältere Haus riecht etwas muffig aber man gewöhnt sich daran, der Pool befindet sich auf dem Grundstück gegenüber, die Anfahrt zum Haus ist nicht ganz trivial - hier einfach die Gastgeber kontaktieren und um Abholung bitten 😉 Marko hat uns super Tips gegeben (Strände, Restaurants etc.) und hat sich um alles gekümmert! Im Großen und Ganzen haben wir unseren Urlaub gut genießen können!

Tolles Haus in wunderschöner Umgebung

Wir haben mit unserer Familie (8 Personen) hier eine wunderschöne Woche verbringen dürfen. Das Haus ist Rustikal aus altem Stein (ein Schlafzimmer unterhalb in einem alten Gewölbekeller) - oberhalb mit Terrasse, Küche/Bad und einem weiteren Schlafzimmer sowie einem Schlafzimmer auf dem Dachboden. Die Küche und das Schlafzimmer auf dem Dachboden haben eine Klimaanlage. Direkt im Anschluss des Hauses befindet sich der Pool zur privaten Nutzung. Haus und Pool haben eine wunderschöne Bergkulisse im Hintergrund. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war überaus freundlich...auch vor Reiseantritt. Wir kommen gerne wieder !!!!

Einfach Wohlfühlen

Wir haben zwei Wochen in dem gemütlichen Haus mit unserer kleinen Tochter und den Großeltern verbracht. Die Gastgeber sind unkompliziert, freundlich und verlässlich. Das Haus war sehr sauber, sehr gut ausgestattet und unheimlich gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wenn am Morgen die Sonne zwischen 8 und 9 über dem Gebirge auftaucht wird der Poolbereich mit dem unglaublichen Ausblick auf Crikvenica und das Meer zum perfekten Yoga-Spot mit anschließender Abkühlung. Das Highlight ist natürlich die (recht kühle) Schlafhöle unter dem Wohnbereich. Zwar ist die Anfahrt etwas abenteuerlich, dafür ist man in 8 Minuten mit dem Auto an der Strandpromenade mit Restaurants, Bars und einer Tauchbasis, in einer halben Stunde in der wunderschönen Hafenstadt Rijeka und nach einem einfachen Fußmarsch in 20 Minuten bei einer der zahlreichen Ruinen. Das Haus ist die perfekte Basis, egal ob man Berge, Meer, Kultur, Geschichte oder einfach Ruhe sucht. Eine echte Empfehlung!

Total schönes Haus in einer traumhaften ruhigen Lage mit Blick aufs Meer. Jeder Kontakt mit den Borana und Marco was total freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, sodass wir alles mögliche problemlos zubereiten konnten. Wir haben in dem Haus zwei wundervolle erholende Wochen verbracht und kommen gerne wieder um vom Pool aus, die Sonne zu genießen ;)

Es war wirklich schön in dem Ferienhaus, die Jungs haben den Pool geliebt, die Zufahrt ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und abenteuerlich, aber wenn man erst mal da ist kann man toll entspannen! Grundlegendes gibt es im nahegelegenen Ort. Sehr herzliche Empfang mit Saft und Keksen, die nach einer langen Anreise gut angekommen sind! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

charming villa on the hill

After minor inicial communication problems, Marko and Borana were very helpfull and caring hosts, whose were symphatetic to our dates changes and helpfull to all our needs. They recommend us best reataurants in neighborhood, as well,, Marko was comming every few days to clean the pool. Location faraway from hustle was perfect for us- just count with approx. 15-20 minutes drive to the sea- or you can enjoy a view from the terrace with the pool.. Next to the house is another one property with local people, but we do not disturb each other. We used also the barbecue and grilled some fresh fish from the market, be aware from cats from neighborhood :) Villa itself is really an old beauty, with charming cellar room - just count with colder enviroment there, which is compensated with romantic atmosphere. The attic room is very charming as well- bit hot, but you have an AC there. You are entering by steeper stairs, with no door - just consider for smaller children or if you need more privacy. Surroundings with old cemetery with chappel and old ruin castle above the villa is amazing and in Grizane local shop you can buy everything you need every day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much, and we can recommend this villa to everybody who is looking for a quiet atmosphere with privacy and love places with unique atmosphere.

Super Unterkunft

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Das Haus ist sehr schön, die Umgebung traumhaft und der Pool ganz für uns alleine klein aber fein mit tollem Ausblick. In der Nähe sind tolle Strände mit glasklarem Wasser und Klippen zum Reinspringen. Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern da und hatten ausreichend Platz. Das untere Zimner ist zwar sehr schön aber recht kühl und klamm. Wir können die Unterkunft insgesamt sehr empfehlen.

ein Ort der Ruhe

wir waren mit 5 Personen, zwei Erwachsene und 3 Jugendliche 2 Wochen in dem schönen Ferienhäuschen untergebracht. Die Jugend hat die Poolareria voll genossen und wir hatten im kleinen Immenhof und auf der Terrasse viel Ruhe zum entspannen. Im Ort selbtst gibt es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, der die Grundversorgung sichert. 10 - 15 Minuten mit dem Auto und man ist am Strand und mitten in dem Städchen Cricvenica, dort gibt es alles, was das Herz begehrt. Die Vermieter ein junges Pärchen, waren stets hilfsbereit und haben uns mit uns mit tollen Tipps fürAusflüge und Restaurants versorgt. Alles im allen war es ein gelunger, erholsamer Urlaub. Das untere Zimmer ist der Hit, dort schläft man wie ein Bär in der Höhle. Danke noch mal an Borana und Marco für die schöne Zeit !

Why they chose this property

We absolutely adore Vinodol valley. The nature is so beautiful and the villages are picturesque and quiet and, still, it takes you only ten minutes to the city and the sea.
This is the house that Marko's father bought 30 years ago, but a few years ago he decided to give the house to us. We renovated the house 4 years ago and used so many unique details that you would absolutely love:-).
