Property of Moyen Moutier for several centuries, the grounds around the estate were used to make part of the wine of the abbey. It consisted of 3 buildings; the main building dating back to 1718 serving as a dwelling where one still finds the bread oven, the original kitchen and the winery; a farmhouse which served as storage, stable and barn; the third building that no longer exists and was at the current square of the balustrade and the staircase leading to the garden. After the revolution, the property was sold as a national asset and acquired by the family in 1833 by a Strasbourg brewer. It passed into different branches of the family and underwent major changes in 1910, these were carried out by Theodore Boch, brewer in Lutterbach. The Meyerhof was bought from this branch of the family in 1920 by Charles and Alfred Schmidt, the great grandparents of the current owners, Thierry and Denis Jung. Since then, they have not stopped working on upgrading and improving comfort.
