This was definitely a hidden gem. We had the lodge with the private garden that run down to the river, it is an idyllic place. We were met by the owner Barry, who was very welcoming, and even came to say cheerio when we were leaving. The lodge itself is very roomy and comfortable, and we were met most mornings with the resident ducks, and a peacock, which the children loved. Plenty to do in the area, (we went to Clarksons Diddly Squat Farm, but we didn't fancy queuing for 2 hrs to get into his farm shop !!) would definitely recommend, and would love to visit again soon.
It's in a great spot for exploring,
