Beautiful Large Lake House For Family And Friends , WI permit #76798

Our large year-round lake home, overlooking the the scenic Apple River Flowage, is a short drive from the Twin Cities and is the perfect place for a relaxing summer or winter getaway.

Our 3200sf 4 bedroom/3 bathroom, gives you all the conveniences of having 2 complete kitchens, 2 dining areas, large open rec area, deck space and large walk out patio with panoramic views of the water.

In light of covid-19, we are taking extra precautions to provide a clean and safe environment for our renters. Our property is cleaned by a professional cleaning company . Our house is thoroughly cleaned and surfaces are disinfected. We are also removing those "extra touches" from the house to minimize items that are handled or need to be sanitized. All bedding including blankets and comforters are laundered after each reservation. Whenever possible, we are scheduling rental check ins 24 hours after the last departure to provide extra time to accomplish this.

River Haven has a large yard, fire pit with wood provided, and dock space for your boat. Paddle boat, kayaks and canoe are provided for your summer fun.

Everyone will enjoy the wide variety of activities, from fishing, boating, relaxing by the fire, or grilling out. Located just outside of Amery WI, River Haven gives you access to countless miles of ATV trails, hiking/biking trails, snowmobile trails, and all the amenities you could hope to find in a large city such as farm to table restaurant, grocery stores, ice cream shops, farmer's market and small specialty shops.

Property is for registered guests only, and is limited to 10 people regardless of age.

Very clean and spacious, accommodated our group of 9 people comfortably. Lots of wildlife and great fishing on the property! Only an hour from twin cities so we went there on a rainy day. Only downside was some of the beds were uncomfortable and even with AC, it was hot upstairs (granted we stayed during very hot weather). We would come back!

Perfect Setup for our Family

This house was perfect for our trip to Wisconsin to visit my nephew and his family. They stayed with us and the downstairs level could not have worked out any better, as it was the perfect setup for their family of five. The yard, dock, covered patio & lake activities were enjoyed by all!

We enjoyed our 3 generation family vacation at this home. Ken was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The home was very nice, clean and well supplied. Between the 2 kitchens there was ample supplies for cooking, baking and servings. We used the inside and outside games provided as well.Unfortunately the river had lots of algae and weeds so no swimming but we did enjoy swimming, kayaking at Balsam Lake public beach and beverages and dinner at Balsam Lake Brewery. We enjoyed the Amery area's Cattail Trail, Ale Works Brewery and Mixed Up Waterside.

Great House for a Family or Group of Friends

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable for a family with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, sitting areas, 2 kitchens, washer and dryer and lots of outdoor space to sit and enjoy the view. The weather was great and we were able to enjoy meals on the deck off the kitchen. A short drive into town if you needed to pick up groceries, wanted to eat out, or get ice cream. Also close to plenty of lakes for fishing or just hanging out.

Great spot for 2 families to gather that have vacationed together for 15 years. Loved all the space to spread out for watching football, playing games, and just catching up. The kitchens had everything we needed and then some! Enjoyed kayaking in the mornings and bonfires in the evenings. Loved it all and the owners were super easy to work with.

Family Time

This is a beautiful property! It was very clean upon arrival and had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you need. It is on a river so swimming is not an option for little ones. My only suggestion is to have a later checkout than 10 am. While the check out requirements are minimal, for the number of people allowed to stay, it is hard to get out that early. Despite that, it is a fabulous property!

Our family of 6 adults and 1 child had a great week at the lake house. The view is a showstopper, it was so relaxing to be on the deck for meals or morning coffee. We fished off the dock and did some kayaking around the lake. Both kitchens were well equipped with all the needed kitchenware. 3 bathrooms and bedroom areas worked well for 3 couples, everyone could have their own space. Lots of toys and games for our 3 year-old grandson and the whole family. Phone numbers for hosts and directions to contact were clearly listed if needed. Everything went smoothly and we did not need assistance during our stay. Checkout instructions were clear and posted so the information was readily available. The home was a few miles out of time and easy to find. It was not far off the highway, around one corner and it quickly opened up to a beautiful lake. We visited several restaurants and businesses in Amery during the week and enjoyed the friendly community. Very nice stay.

The property was very nice. We had more room then my Family needed but it worked out great. I can see it being a wonderful place for a couple families. They had a paddle boat, kayaks many water floats to use. The water, when we were there had a lot of algee and we did not go in the water We golfed, and took a trip to a couple wineries, the casino is close by. Downtown Amery offers fun things to do. We had a good time, If the water would have been clearer it would have been perfect. Clear lake beach is only 15 min away and it had a very nice public beach. In a beautiful location. We did have a fun time.

More than you could ask for

The pictures are spot on of the property. Very roomy for our three "family" couples who stayed here, each with their own bathroom. Made use of both kitchens, Upstairs for meals and prep. Downstairs for beverages, snacks and eating. Beautiful views of the river the entire stay. The supplies were over the top. They have everything you can think of. We needed a cupcake pan, they had one! Forgot the cornstarch. They had some! Impeccably clean and well maintained property.

Best vacation ever!

Our family loved River Haven! We spent a week there and enjoyed every minute of it. The cleaning service the owners use gets 5 stars. The house was impressively clean. It was spotless. It's also stocked with anything you could possibly need. There was an abundance of space inside and out. The kids pretty well took over the lower level, and it worked well for our family. Lots of outdoor seating with wonderful views of the river. It's a very peaceful location. The house is well stocked with plenty to do rain or shine. The weather was rainy and chilly the first 2 days so we watched movies and played games (so many to choose from!). We used the kayaks and canoe and played outdoor games. Again..so many to choose from! Mall of America is just over an hour away so we spent a day there. We took a riverboat cruise in St Croix. Walked some trails in Interstate Park. We recommend eating at the Amery Family Restaurant and Viage Pizzeria. Both had great food and service at reasonable prices. I would love to go back and stay at River Haven again, and we plan to!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here-EVERYTHING you need is provided. Definitely the most well stocked home we’ve stayed at. The accommodations were clean and spacious and the property and views were lovely. The owner was helpful in extending our stay after an unexpected family emergency and made a difficult time much easier with not having to relocate. We had a wonderful family vacation. Pleny of romm for our large family. The cupboards were stocked with all our cooking needs. The water was beautiful. Fire pit with wood available. Yard games and lets not forget 6 kyaks, paddle board, and paddle boat. Interstate State park is only 25 minutes away. With a great beach and hiking. We plan on coming back mext year.

We loved everything about this place. It's so clean and accomodated 7 of us very comfortably. Amy came over to meet and greet us and was very helpful but not intrusive at all. Fantastic Riverfront Home!

What a fantastic place for a ladies getaway! Such a beautiful riverfront home, so roomy and comfortable! Amy was very helpful and accommodating with check-in. We had a great time using the paddleboat and kayaks and hiking on the trails at Interstate Park which was just a short drive away. Loved hanging out on the deck with the wonderful river view too! Amy and Bruce have 2 grown children, Ken, Amy and Bruce all knew that they wanted to enjoy life and slow down to smell the roses. They discovered "River Haven" and instantly fell in love with the tranquility and peace that it brought them. We want to share those same feelings with all of you.
