Stayed for my 60th birthday weekend with my family (16 of us). Everything about our stay was exceptional. The accommodation was stylish, clean, spacious inside and out and had everything you need to have a home from home stay. Will not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend for any group who wants to spend time together.
A wonderful setting for a milestone birthday celebration. Beautiful home with great gathering spaces, both in and outdoor! Bedrooms all clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend this lovely home!
Very impressive accommodation. Ideal for larger groups. Wonderful area in which to walk and roam. Altogether our best stay yet.
Host lives nearby and was very helpful and informative,
Everything about the linhay is great. For a group of friends with 2 dogs the linhay provided us with everything we needed and more. Bedrooms all great sizes and kitchen living area perfect for any group/family staying. Can’t wait to come back
We all had a great stay. Kitchen facilities were amazing. Alan (host father) came to have a chat a couple of times and he is extremely laid back and welcoming.
Property is very remote, but well worth it. Dining room table is something really special too. Everything has been thought of in this property. Would highly recommend a stay.
We have just returned from a fantastic week's stay at the Linhay. The property is absolutely stunning, great for large groups with a beautiful kitchen and wonderful entertaining space. Every bedroom having it's own bathroom was a real plus and the BBQ facilities were brilliant. Shout out to Alan for being on hand and fielding all our queries!
Simply fantastic - beautiful property and setting, friendly and helpful hosts. Idyllic.
Simply marvelous stay, pre-arrival comms with the hosts were no trouble. Alan greeted and helped throughout the stay with local insights and knowledge to help guide our activities.Beautiful and modern property with plenty of amenities including great room flexibility to have twin or double beds in 4 of the 8 bedrooms.Upstairs has 2 doubles and a potential twin, downstairs has 2 doubles and then 3 additional exterior access rooms which can be twins, all with en-suite but some with baths only.Excellent hot tub with fire wood provided, easy to stoke up and operate which provides much needed relief after days hiking over Exmoor!Rear courtyard was a suntrap all times of the day, with a BBQ and fire pit.If you need any taxi's book them in advance as it's fairly remote but easy coastal access within 45minutes or so.Will definitely return. Cannot recommend more highly.
The property is amazing and the location is fantastic. From questions before arrival to those after arrival, the hosts were brilliant.
We'd highly recommend and will be back again,
My family of 14 stayed at The Linhay for one week. The barn has been converted into luxurious accommodation with spacious en suite bedrooms, large kitchen/diner with all mod cons and Scandinavian-type lounge. Property surrounded by fields with country lanes. Would definitely recommend.
Great host, warm, friendly, very helpful without in any way overpowering.
Property is fantastic, equipped to a very high standard in an amazing setting.
Very spacious modern 8 bedroom all with ensuite well equipped holiday retreat. Great for families of all ages as long as transport not a problem, as it is in a rural location with very little immediate facilities. However Lynton and Lynmouth, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, and other coast line beaches, all drivable distance. Quad biking, water inflatables and local fetes and markets dependant on time of year. The weather was very favourable to us which made it a perfect venue for us. The hosts were very amenable and helpful. Definitely a place to consider if you are looking for an out of the beaten track for a large group.
We are a group of family and friends with 2 dogs who stayed at the Linhay in August 2021
We had a fantastic time and found the property accommodated us really well being a large group.
It was quiet and peaceful which was a lovely change from city life.
We were well supported by Alan during our stay which created a very friendly atmosphere.
We enjoyed travelling to all the near by Devon beaches.
The property was very clean and comfortable and equipped us with everything we needed.
Would highly recommend to others
Thank you
A very special barn conversion.
We really enjoyed the building which was equipped to a very high standard, with a design that suited our large group.
The owners were very helpful and friendly.
The location was beautiful and great for seeing sites along the coast and on the moor.
Beautiful house and location, spotlessly clean, and plenty of space for our party of 14. Alan and Lyn were perfect hosts, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Great kitchen with everything you could need to cater for a large group like ours. Fantastic sociable tables both outside and inside.
We loved the perfect balance of feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere but could quickly and easily reach local towns and villages in just a few minutes. We especially loved the local town of South Molton and the regular twice weekly market which was great for all kinds of fresh meat and veg.
The house was in easy reach of all the major resorts and attractions in North Devon and especially the Exmoor National Park.
Would love to visit again some time soon!
Michelle, Phil and the rest of the crowd.
