Andrew and Rachel are delighted to offer you a luxury break in Foreman’s Lodge, a wonderful historic lodge located on the edge of Edinburgh.

The property features stunning views of Musselburgh Golf Links, one of the oldest courses in the world, dating back to 1567 where Mary Queen of Scots is believed to have played.

Further in the distance Musselburgh’s famous horse racing course can also be seen.

With an excellent local bus service and train station just a 15 minute walk away, this fantastic retreat also offers guests easy access to Edinburgh city centre.

Spent first three hours killing flies & moths

When my family and I entered the property, there were a lot of flies and moths flying around. I spent a large chunk of the first night killing the flies, to try and make it comfortable for my family. The property manager, agreed to send someone the next morning, unfortunately, that could not change the first impression & the time spent killing the bugs on the previous evening. Good location for exploring Edinburgh & right on the race track. The property is generally interesting, but could use a lick of paint & looks tired in the living room & 2nd bathroom in particular. My kids did enjoy the hot tub. The first night did sadly taint the trip for us. I did request a refund of the cleaning fee to compensate for the bug issue, but this request was politely refused, after a week of back & forth.

Excellent location, property and hosts.

A wonderful long weekend spent in this well equipped spacious property. It is ideally located for Musselburgh races and for the golf coast. Hosts were excellent and provided fantastic recommendations for places to eat out too. Highly recommended.

Stunning house in a good location.

The house was beautifully decorated, the photos don't even do it enough justice. There was only 5 of us so we all had more than enough space. The hosts were lovely and there to help if needed. The location is great for getting in and out of Edinburgh where there's loads to do. The only negative is it's quite a busy road outside so we had a bit of trouble sleeping in the front room as we were both light sleepers but no one else had any problems in the other bedrooms. Overall a great stay and would stay again.

Bright and sunny throughout, Foreman’s Lodge has been fitted out with the highest specification of new furnishings and fixtures including Bosch kitchen appliances.

Featuring a large open plan kitchen, diner and lounge space with views of the historical golf links and Musselburgh Race Course.

There are comfortable furnishings throughout and the property comes with a landscaped private garden that includes a private Hot Tub. It is decorated to a high standard with a number of beautiful design touches, artefacts and paintings to further enhance your stay.

All in keeping with the luxury escape Andrew and Rachel want to provide their guests.

What makes this property unique

The property has four bedrooms sleeps eight people but there is a sofa bed that can increase this number to 10 if required.
The rear garden has been sympathetically landscaped and includes both a hot tub as well as a large trampoline for those who like to bounce!! Terraced, outdoor lighting enables guests to enjoy both inside and out no matter the weather or time of day
