Lovely apartment, everything we needed was provided. Only 2 minor points - lots of tiny slugs in wet room on floor and walls and bit of litter from previous guests under bed in main bedroom, but apart from that the accommodation was perfectly adequate in a lovely location
Lovely stay in a very pretty setting and very peaceful. Great if you have a dog as enclosed garden . The host was very nice and helpful would recommend.
A little bit of paradise - apart from the neighbors!
We arrived late afternoon to find our patio doors looked out over a paddock with two horses, chickens roaming free and even some free range eggs in the parking area! The property was clean and well equipped and we truly thought we'd stumbled upon a piece of paradise for our three night stay.
We decided to eat dinner on the patio which is when we first heard the dog - running round and round the balcony over our head. Later we met the owners of the dog as they parked directly across the grass area in front of the patio blocking our view...
The following evening we were treated to vacuuming from above at 10pm and on our final night their dishwasher didn't finish until almost 11pm....
The owners of Oak Mead were lovely and very apologetic. However, knowing the people above are a long term let will probably stop us from returning. That said, our days were idyllic, the property lovely and the view without the car was stunning!
Fantastic property, just perfect for our needs and for our Cocker Spaniel. We used the log burner every night to create cosy evenings. Great after days visiting great dog walking locations, country parks and pubs. This cottage feels like it is in the middle of nowhere but within 15 minutes we had country parks, nice villages, pubs and not too much further Chester. This place really strikes a great balance and if you are looking to escape life for a few days this place is highly recommended.
