Refrigerator leaks. No view to speak of. Single ply toilet paper and paper towels. I could go on.
We came for a multi-day car show only ~2.5 miles away. Black Bear Hideaway fit our needs well for access and comfort. Convenient to the strip, and to in-town venues. Easy drive to the location.
Just wish it was in another state completely ,ober Gatlinburg is hell on earth . If your looking to rent this house just to go to ober don’t do it just set your money on fire

Very dusty!
This cabin was so dusty. There was dust all over the fans and baseboards all of the pictures on the walls had dust even the chair in the bedroom had dust all over it. I have never in the 10 years I have been staying in the area booking cabins found one in this condition. When the company called to check in I did let them know and they said they would send someone to clean but when they showed up we had just gotten back and were too tired to have them do it they said it would only take 30 minutes but there is no way they could dust all that in that short amount of time. The beds were also very uncomfortable. There were no Christmas decorations which was also disappointing. The cabin was a nice size, but very dated the carpet and blinds need replacing as well. If this were my property I would be embarrassed to rent it in this condition.
Not roomy enough for 8 people. Not clean. 4 of the guest stayed one night because of the dust which
Had a great time even without cable because of the snow. No Christmas atmosphere at all not even a tree.

Dump
Dated unit with dirty furniture and no WiFi. Crummy TVs and Poorly equipped kitchen. Could not turn the heat off upstairs so the kids roasted. Carpet was ripped up. Just really bad overall. Would never stay there again.
For the price paid on New Year’s Eve, I thought a little expensive. It was close to town. Check in and out process was easy. Needs furniture and sleepers to be updated.
Our family enjoyed the cabin and it was so conveniently located.

Not impressed
The picture was taken to make the carbine look like it was private . It was not it was situated in the middle of about twenty more cabins. The cabin was nice except that there was half inch of dust built up on the rail on the bottom of the stairs and all the doors and door facings were dirty not stained just dirty .
