Captain's Cottage, Scarborough

Captain’s Cottage is a spacious traditional two-bedroom, fisherman’s cottage located in Scarborough old town. Built in the 1800s it comes complete with a cosy electric log burner, central heating, fully equipped kitchen including microwave, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer-dryer, cutlery and more. The cottage comes with free Wifi, a DVD player, Free View and enabled; streaming directly to TV. The large self-contained decking area has a table and chairs in addition to beautiful lighting to really create the perfect holiday atmosphere to relax and enjoy time together.

All children are welcome - we will provide a highchair plus travel cot on request. We will also accommodate up to two small, well behaved dogs. No smoking inside the property, however a cigarette box is provided outside. Parking directly outside the property is on a first come, first served basis, there are also lots of other spaces in the local vicinity. Partial sea views can be seen from the second floor velux window.

Beautifully renovated and furnished to a particularly high standard with tasteful luxury features – a modern bathroom with full size bath and electric shower over bath. Upstairs is carpeted with comfy beds. There is a double bedroom on the 1st floor with large wardrobe area and a twin room on the 2nd floor. Owner is available to answer any questions by text or phone if necessary.

The local area provides several great pubs, cafes, restaurants, take-aways and shops. The cottage is in a prime location for the traditional Scarborough market. Enrich your history by taking a trip to the Rotunda Museum (built in 1829) and Scarborough Castle, which can be seen from the front door! Plenty of great walking and cycling routes with the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Robin’s Hood Bay, Whitby and Filey - a short drive away.
