Thank-you for your kind words about our barn conversion and our wonderful hosts Salvador. We are glad that you fully enjoyed your stay and were pleased to host you and your family. Here are your words repeated in English:-
For a nature lover like me, I am totally satisfied.
Quiet in the countryside, the people who take care of the house are adorable, the shops less than 15min and many other discoveries less than an hour (by car of course).

Rural barn in lovely area with plenty of potential
The barn is located in a rural area with plenty of space, green and quiet. Lovely country setting! The local town is tiny and does not have any shops or a bakery. The barn has an oven however, so you can use it to bake some fresh bread. (Shops are app 10-15 min. ride by car)
Furthermore you are close to the main roads. It is a good place to visit places you want to see like -Mont-Saint-Michel (app. 30 mins) and the landing beaches (just over an hour).
The barn has three medium sized bedrooms and can easily sleep four. Five is possible, but I would not recommend it; the bathroom is tiny and for five to relax in the living area would be a bit cramped. (We were a family of four with teenagers and a dog.)
We had a good week, regardless of the bad weather we had all week. We played boardgames at the dining table and watched a few of the movies using the dvd-player and the movies that were in the house. We walked a lot in the local area with our dog. One evening we walked to the village and played table tennis there.
The local hosts as well as the owners are lovely people and communication was never a problem. Always got a quick response.
A few issues with the house made our stay less comfortable than it should have been, like the (smell of) dampness and other minor things, like no lock on the bathroom door and a leaking shower enclosure.
It is a lovely place, run by lovely people. It does need some TLC in some places and truly has all the potential for a lovely holiday home.

Thanks for your comments, this was our first season since we renovated the barn so they are helpful. Re your points, we will put a lock on the bathroom door, fix the shower door enclosure leak to stop the damp smell and add other new facilities to improve holidaymakers experience. It is a pity that this summer was extremely wet, rainy and cold in France so that you were not able to get out to enjoy the garden and surrounds so much. The nearest town is Villedieu-les-Poeles which has many shops, bars, restaurants, market, museum, artists studios and indoor swimming pool. Thanks again Karin, all the best.
I love meeting people, travelling, exploring, painting and photography. I have loved converting this ancient Normandy stone barn into a comfortable family holiday home!
Why they chose this property
This barn conversion property was architect designed, structurally optimised and renovated very recently. It is peaceful, with a large private garden of over 2000 M2, set in the countryside amidst the rolling Normandy hills. Externally the character of the stone barn has been retained. Inside is more contemporary, with a completely new internal structure, insulation everywhere, including walls, underfloor and ceiling, with newly installed dry-walls. There are many new fixtures and fittings, including two new sets of french doors and fully double glazed windows everywhere. It is well positioned to explore the Normandy and Brittany coast, towns and other delights, such as Mont St Michel, in this beautiful region of France.
What makes this property unique
Experience the peace and tranquility of the rural French countryside with cows, sheep, and other wild and farmyard animals nearby from time to time! Countryside walks are lovely around the local area. At night you will be able to see the milky way galaxy, and then relax to the beautiful sound of silence. Bon Nuit.
