About the property
Chance Cottage is a recently modernised cottage situated in the heart of Downalong just a few minutes walk from St Ives' beaches and harbour. The perfect base for guests wanting to be in the heart of the town and just a stone's throw from all this iconic location has to offer. There is an enclosed courtyard garden to the rear, a rarity in St Ives, making it ideal for relaxing and Al Fresco dining.
The space
This modern cottage comes with everything you need for a perfect seaside retreat. The open plan ground floor living area has a large modern surround sofa and 37" plasma TV and DVD leading into the kitchen/dining space. The kitchen is fully fitted to a very high specification to include granite worktops and fully stocked with all the mod cons you would need including a wine cooler. The dining area seats 6 people around a modern table which creates an all inclusive feel to mealtimes.
The ground floor also benefits from a luxury bathroom room with large shower bath, WC, hand wash basin and heated towel rail.
To the first floor there are 2 king size bedrooms and a double room all with wardrobes, drawers and quality bed linen including duck down and feather duvets. The second luxury bathroom is on this floor and has a luxury walk in shower, WC, and hand basin.
Guest access
The cottage is accessed via the back courtyard and keys will be left in the lock-box for you to access the property.

Parking: The owner provides parking located a short 10 min walk from the property; you are able to park outside to load and unload luggage. Please note that the walk up to the parking space is steep and unsuitable for elderly or infirm guests.
Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking and service fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.
Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive the requirement.
Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.
