Domaine de La Banne - luxurious 3 bedroom barn, private pool, stunning location
The accommodation is not suitable for younger children although those aged 13 and above are welcome. Three tastefully decorated ensuite bedrooms with king size beds. Two bedrooms can be configured with twin beds if required.
Tranquility, exclusivity, luxury & privacy. We have created accommodation for adults or families with older children who are looking for a tranquil holiday, short break or longer term rental. Our 3 bedroom barn accommodates up to 6 people. Private 11 x 4m heated, salt water swimming pool. The medieval village of Belvès is only 2.2 km or a 25 minute walk. With private entrance and car parking, the barn is adjacent to, but separate from, the owners' property. Relax over a glass of wine on the balcony terrace or enjoy a BBQ in the poolside private summer kitchen & covered dining area.
Domaine de La Banne is comprised of our home; 7ha of stunning Dordogne countryside including private gardens and a barn conversion providing our rental accommodation.
The accommodation on the upper level of the barn has been awarded 4-stars by the Dordogne Tourist Board. It is 84 sqm and consists of an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with two large sofas and coffee table; a dining table and chairs for 6 people; two ensuite bedrooms, one of which can be configured with either a King size or twin beds; stunning balcony terrace with private entrance and French windows leading on to the balcony.
The independent third bedroom is on the ground floor of the barn. It is a 35 sqm, ensuite garden bedroom with private entrance. It also benefits from a comfortable seating area, TV, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. It can be configured with either a super-King or twin beds.
Decorated and furnished in a contemporary style complimenting the original stone barn and outbuildings, the barn is centrally heated. Equipped with a flat screen internet - UK & French TV channels; Netflix & Amazon Prime accessible. Free WIFI which extends to outside areas. There is a fully equipped modern island kitchen with a range of quality appliances including oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom and hairdryers are provided in each room.
The balcony terrace, with its dining table and chairs for 6, provides a unique view of the gardens and old stone chicken coop. This is now a separate utility room with toilet, washing machine, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and sink. Attached to the chicken coop is a covered summer kitchen and dining area with dining table and chairs for 6 people. There is a gas BBQ (gas for the BBQ is provided).
There is a private 11 x 4m heated, salt water pool which sits alongside the summer kitchen and covered dining area.
All bed linen, towels and pool towels are included at no extra cost.
A selection of The White Company's Noir range luxury toiletries are provided in each bathroom for use during your stay.
In line with our commitment to the environment we provide all eco-friendly cleaning products and detergents.
Cleaning fees are included in the nightly rate and there are are no hidden or additional charges.
Guests have large areas of gardens which are for their private use only.

After a career in media and theatre I, along with my partner David, moved to Sagelat to fulfil a long held dream of living in France . We found La Banne in 2017 after a two year search for the perfect property. We fell in love with it immediately and moved from London to the Dordogne to begin an exciting new adventure. We knew that we wanted to share the beauty and tranquility of the place with others and began by opening a single private chambre d'hotes. In 2019 we converted the upper level of the barn into a stylish and contemporary gite apartment.
We take great delight welcoming guests to La Banne. We've met many interesting people from different parts of the world. We are always delighted at guests' reactions as they unwind and enjoy a perfect holiday, loving the setting as much as we do.
We pride ourselves in providing a warm welcome, always happy to spend time with our guests sharing our knowledge of the region whilst at the same time providing a friendly yet unobtrusive service.

Its close proximity to Belvès, rated as one of France's most beautiful villages, allows guests to enjoy a pleasant walk to a lively and friendly village where locals welcome them with open arms. So whether you want to simply relax by the pool with a good book or want a more active holiday canoeing, walking, exploring, riding, cycling and more, then you couldn't wish for a better place to stay.

On arrival we meet all of our guests in person over a welcome drink giving them the opportunity to unwind after their journey. We take time to walk our guests around the property, so they can familiarise themselves with the gite and other facilities.
The large contemporary and modern space compliments the old farmhouse and outbuildings. It has been equipped with high quality appliances and furniture to provide comfortable and spacious living accommodation and outdoor spaces.
The balcony terrace is a unique feature giving a different view of the gardens and surrounding countryside. From it you can often see deer, boar, rabbits and a plethora of different bird species whilst drinking coffee or sipping a glass of local wine.
There is lots of open space at Domaine de La Banne and the lack of light pollution means you can really appreciate the star filled night sky, often spotting shooting stars.
This space and large areas of private gardens means that both you and we can enjoy the property and surrounding area without ever feeling on top of one another. Privacy is guaranteed at Domaine de La Banne!
