What a beautiful house and pool. We utterly impressed by its exterior and interior. The owners live onsite in their own house but you wouldn’t know they were there but it was nice to know they were available.

The property is excellent for a large family group. The house is very well equipped and has been renovated very tastefully. The pool is amazing and there were a lot of things to keep the grandchildren entertained such as table football and table tennis.The property is very well maintained and the hosts were kind and helpful.We thoroughly recommend a holiday in this beautiful house.

One week break

Everything about the property was top class. Accomodation was excellent as was the pool and the gardens. It was very quiet but the river and major centres were easily reached. The outside BBQ with its own cutlery and crockery and dishwasher was excellent. We heartily recommend the property. The proprietors were kind and kept the pool etc in perfect condition.

A Wonderful Experience

Beautiful home done with great taste, hosts absolutely wonderful and kind all of this in one of the most beautiful regions of France…what’s not to like? I also want to give a special note of appreciation to the fact that everything about La Balade au Bois is 1st rate from the linens to the glassware to the outdoor kitchen. No short cuts here! Family holiday

A beautiful house which worked well for 12 of us (6 adults and 6 children). It is very tastefully furnished and well equipped but we did not appreciate beforehand the number of different levels and steps/stairs involved or that 1 bedroom is in a separate, but attached, building. The BBQ area, pool, table tennis and table football were much enjoyed by all and the children enjoyed playing "hide and seek" in the lovely grounds. Carine and Joel were very helpful when there was a small problem in the house and when asked for information and kindly provided toys for appropriate ages.

Wonderful Holiday with Friends

Hey! I was working on the review for our first house. What do you think if this.... want to add our change anything? We are a group of friends who come to France every few years for holiday.  We had such an amazing stay here.  Joel and his wife are wonderful! They were so helpful with recommendations (all their recommendations became the highlights of our trip). We really enjoyed chatting with his wife. She is so sweet and absolutely amazing. The house and property are so beautiful and relaxing. The house is perfect. There are so many small details they have thought of that you want for nothing.  The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. The bedrooms are all beautifully furnished and all had closets.  The beds and bedding were so comfortable. There are many options for eating areas as a group (outside and inside). The living room is fantastic with comfortable inviting furniture that is great for chatting and unwinding after a fun day of exploring. The tv can be used in both French and English. The 6th room is it's own small apartment which worked out perfectly for our group! Shopping, markets, restaurants, sites, activities are all within 30 min or less from the house. It's great that you are in the country but still close enough for everything you want to do. The Strawberry farm nextdoor had the most delicious strawberries. We can't wait to come back and stay here! It was amazing and the perfect place for our group.

Location retenue pour un week-end prolongé en famille. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le calme de l’environnement. Nous avons pu pleinement profiter des équipements proposés. Ayant eu la chance de bénéficier d’une méteo 'estivale’, la piscine et son très vaste auvent nous ont permis de nous retrouver à 12 pour bavarder, jouer, et prendre nos repas.Nos hôtes se sont montrés particulièrement discrets, mais très efficaces pour la réussite de notre séjour.Merci à eux.

Superbe maison près de Sarlat

Un séjour des plus agréables malgré la meteo

Nous avons loué le gîte la Ballade au bois pour 5 jours incluant le jour de l'an. Le gîte est remarquable, très confortable et très bien équipé à tout point de vue, des prestations haut de gamme. Pour l'hiver le chauffage est tout a fait suffisant et la cheminée très appréciée; en été la piscine et tout son environnement doivent aussi être des plus agréables. L'accueil est parfait avec les cadeaux de bienvenue (bouteilles de vin de la région, gaufres excellentes). Malgré un temps peu clément mais de saison, nous avons pu visiter le site de Lascaux IV, le musée de Eyzies, les jardins de Marqueysac, Sarlat, Domme, Beynac (des lieux chargées d'histoire), en bref un séjour des pus agréables à la Ballade au bois.

Réunion de famille dans le perigord

Nous avons passé Une semaine dans cette location lieu magnifique!! De nombreuses visites touristiques ( Chateau de Beynac-et-Cazenac, le gouffre de Padirac , sarlat, la grotte de Lascaux , balade sur la Dordogne en gabarre ,sa gasrronomie légendaire Maison spacieuse , decoree avec goût , nous avons profité de la piscine et du coin barbecue et de l espace jardin bien adapté aux enfants

Super séjour au calme

Maison tout confort et très bien entretenue. L’espace extérieur avec la piscine et le carport est un endroit très agréable où passer de bons moments entre amis ou en famille. Enfin la maison est située à la croisée de plusieurs sites historiques connus. Je recommande.

Magnifique séjour

Avons passés une magnifique semaine dans cette maison . Nous étions 11 : 9 adultes , un enfant de 3ans , un autre de 2ans et un enfant de 14 mois. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison ! Rien à dire au niveau des équipements . Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et sympathiques et très discrets. Tout le monde a apprécié aussi l’espace pool house très bien équipé, la piscine , l’espace extérieur et les enfants les jouets à leur disposition ! Nous y avons passé de très bons moments . L’endroit est idéalement situé, au calme , entouré de verdure. Nous conseillons cette maison à tous !

Séjour idéal

Nous avons choisi ce logement car nous étions 12 adultes et nous voulions être à notre aise au niveau places, nombre de couchages et salles de bain, et, nous n'avons pas été deçus ! C'est une demeure de caractère, élégamment meublée, très bien équipée, très propre dans un cadre verdoyant et fleuri. Nous prenions tous les matins le petit-déjeuner sur la grande table de la terrasse et nos repas de midi/soir sous la très grande cuisine d'été couverte près de la piscine. C'est un endroit frais, spacieux avec une grande table, un salon, deux BBQ, la vaisselle nécessaire et cerise sur le gâteau.... un lave vaisselle très pratique. Les chambres sont bien réparties, spacieuses et confortables. Carine et Joël sont charmants et acceuillants et d'une grande discrétion. Nous avons décidé de passer notre dernière journée sur la propriété pour profiter de ses belles prestations mais sa situation géographique permet aussi d'accéder facilement aux merveilles du Périgord et du Lot. Bref allez-y les yeux fermés !

Prachtig huis in een fantastische omgeving

Een heerlijk huis met alle voorzieningen, veel badkamers, fijne bedden, beddengoed, kussens en veel handdoeken. Het zwembad is lekker verwarmd met voldoende ligbedden. Lekker buiten eten, barbecues aanwezig. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk, een beetje lastig omdat ze alleen Frans spreken maar gaat prima in contact. Ze wonen in een huis naast het vakantiehuis, maar je ziet ze bijna nooit. Wij hebben het heel fijn gehad.
