Summary:
Once a fisherman’s cottage, now a luxury self-catering retreat, this seaside hideaway in Deal is just the ticket for couples, friends or small families looking to breathe in some fresh sea air and enjoy the laid-back vibe on England's Kent coast.
The Space:
As you step through the front door into the lounge and then on towards the dining room, you’re greeted with beautiful neutral tones, wood floors and original period features, cleverly juxtaposed with contemporary flourishes and zingy pops of colour.
The well-equipped kitchen leads onto a sun-trapped garden where seagulls and swallows overhead reign during the summer months, while in winter the beautiful interior offers a snug retreat to hide from blustery winds along the nearby beach.
As well as the beautiful living areas, a central staircase leads you to the elegant, chalky-toned master bedroom, which flaunts a squishy double bed settled under beautiful contemporary lighting. Ideal for small families, couples or friends, there is also one further double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
Please note: access to the bathroom and WC is via the second bedroom. This bedroom has a curtain in place of the door.
Deal itself has lots to offer. Start with a blast of sea air: a brisk walk along Deal Pier, past fishermen trying their luck. Or you may want to poke about the galleries and cool homeware shops or try the local farmer’s market held every Saturday in the town. In 2020 Deal was voted the ‘best place to live in the UK’ by the Sunday Times and there’s good reason for it! In their own words it is a “stylish seaside spot away from the gaze of the week-ending masses” The Times.
