This rural cottage is ideally located, within easy reach of local sights, good restaurants and the motorway. It has all the amenities of a hotel room. Our host was friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again.
Myself and my partner stayed in the cabin in late July for 2 nights. The cabin was clean and really lovely to stay in - perfect size for a couple on a weekend away! It had beautiful views and was really peaceful whilst only being a 10 min drive from everything we needed.
The host (Robert) was extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. He had already started heating up the hot tub etc upon our arrival and provided a basket of unexpected goodies. Thanks so much for making us feel welcome and at home during our stay!
Couldn't recommend the place enough and hope to be back in future!
Cabin was clean, although it was small it suited all of our needs. Welcome basket was a lovely touch and owner always available if we needed anything. Friendly and welcoming the kids loved it especially the hot tub! It was a beautiful place to visit and I would definitely visit again.
What a fantastic lodge and amazing hospitality. We were met with a beautiful hamper filled with goodies. Great welcome! Hot tub was great fun, the wood fired feature feels super earthy and perfect for the countryside we were surrounded by. The host / owner was super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble supplying us with ample logs to fire our toasty hot tub. Cabin was warm, clean, clearly new with all the finishing touches to be home from home. If you want a getaway that is genuinely looking out into fields of sheep, backdrop of hills and the sound of birds this is perfect! You cannot help but relax, switch off and recharge your batteries! Well done Robert, this is a perfect staycation!! 👏👏👏
Just got back from a two day stay and honestly could not fault it amazing place, we are already looking at booking to go back everything we needed for a quiet get away, the views were spectacular and Robert the host was amazing and helpful even when we got lost, can't wait to return .

Nice short break
Really nice & clean property. Lovely basket on arrival with snacks/alcohol. We had a very lovely sunset over the hills on our first night staying here. Views are lovely to wake up too.
Would be good if check in was a little earlier as the hot tub requires heating by burning logs which takes around 2-3 hours so if you are only there for 1 night you may not be able to spend as much time in there as you would like. Or maybe have it up and running for guests arriving?. We also felt like we pestered the host a few times in regards to wifi not working for music etc, power going off, no lighter/bottle opener and when we needed more wood/fire starters as was not fully stocked on arrival.
Overall we did have a lovely stay but there was a couple of things that would have definitely made our experience a bit more chilled/relaxing. The small things really do matter sometimes.
