Villa Santamaria is a unique villa situated in a unique area in Sintra´s Natural Park, where tranquility and peace of mind come together to bring the most relaxing vacation you can get.



This charming property accommodates 8 adults + 2 children and showcases a modern and fresh interior capable of bringing the word home into your vacation. 5 spacious bedrooms and comfortable living areas are at your disposal. The exterior is equally generous in space as the well-kept lawn takes us to the swimming pool, leaving behind plenty of room for children to play. Once in the swimming pool, the picture-worthy scenery given by the surrounding green will bring the so desired relaxation that the vacation asks for.



Being located in the middle of Sintra´s Natural Park, gives us plenty to see, such as beautiful palaces, castles and monuments, that defy the very definition of time, so that we can visit them and wonder.



Villa Santamaria brings a contemporary touch to a historical place, and we are pleased to welcome you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villa was clean and well-presented and the host was very helpful. There was a slight issue with the pool during our stay, but the host was quick to sort it out. The villa is set in beautiful surroundings and there are lots of lovely places to visit nearby. We hope to return in the future.

Beautiful villa with plenty of space, perfectly clean, modern and classy living rooms, comfortable and individualized bedrooms and above all, an enchanting garden and domain, extremely well maintained, with an astonishing view over the Sintra hills and palaces. Special thanks to our house manager Elisabete for the warm welcome even though we arrived only late in the evening. Also really nice to have a mid-stay cleaning and linen refreshment included. A few more commodities available in the house would be nice, to avoid each tenant having to buy e.g. clothing washing products, washing machine tablets, coffee machine filters,…

Lovely stay in the mountains of Colares

Loved the house. Excellent layout and setting with a great little town that is accessible. Great walks in the woods and lots of sites that are close to visit. Please make sure you have a car but uber does access the location as well as other delivery services. Really incredible pool and amazing grounds, seating and dining al fresco. Check in process was a bit rough and in an ideal world can be more automated but that was also my fault as I arrived at 7pm. The main thing that can be improved is supplying more cleaning products. We understand buying things but to leave two garbage bags and 3 pods for the dishwasher in a premium property with a premium price is really stingy and also we want to keep the place clean. Its a very low cost way to ensure your property is in great condition for a check out. Please make sure to notify host that 7 people or less all the beds are not made up automatically and also we found that the google location of the house is not at all correct and had to use the neighbours address for directions.

The villa is situated 8 km from Sintra, and 15 km from the cosmopolitan Cascais, with its marina, entertainment, shopping, beaches, restaurants, coffee shops, delightful terraces by the sea, not to mention the buzz of a very active nightlife. Estoril, which has the biggest casino in Europe, is only 18 km away. Lisbon, the capital with its cosmopolitan atmosphere, monuments, restaurants and Fado, is only 40 min. away. Guincho, with its surrounding natural park, is highly recommended for beach & sport holidays. But along the coast the choice of other beaches is endless. Guincho is famous for water sport activities, white sandy family beaches, all within a 20 min drive.

For golfers, there are 6 golf courses, 20 minutes away:

1) Quinta da Marinha
Set amongst beautiful pine trees and stretching down to Guincho beach, it has some of the most majestic sceneries in Portugal. Its hole number 13, a Par 4 descending to the sea, is a picture postcard of Portuguese golf.
2) Oitavos
It's the 1st Golf Course in Europe and the 2nd in the World to become a Certified Signature Sanctuary - Gold.
3) Penha Longa
Enjoys championship characteristics, an excellent level of maintenance and beautiful panoramic views over the Sintra mountain range.
4) Estoril
One of the oldest and best-known golf courses in Portugal. Many champions - including Max Faulkner and Seve Ballesteros - have walked the fairways of this course.
5) Quinta da Beloura
Fine views over the Sintra mountain range and a course surrounded by trees provide a very pleasurable game of golf.
6) Belas
Designed by Rocky Roquemore. Its eighteen holes extend over 6,128 metres for a Par 72.
