Nicely furnished villa north of Billingsfors with lovely lake views of Bengtsbrohöljen. The house is centrally yet remote in scenic Dalsland with proximity to everything you might need for a wonderful holiday. Walk and cycling distance to many attractions. The town is known for its paper mill, Billingsfors mill, which is located at Laxsjön. Dalsland Canal passes the paper mill in the ascent between Laxsjön and Bengtsbrohöljen. This ascent has three locks. The rapid stretch between Bengtsbrohöljen and Laxsjön is called Höljerudsforsarna and is a nature reserve. Here you can stay throughout the year and every season has its charms. Enjoy the lovely spring or summer, many small lakes with bathing areas are nearby, paddle, fish, golf, hike, ride a canal boat, pedal dressage, hike, experience moose safari. Autumn in Dalsland is incredibly beautiful with all the colors of the trees, and with the forest next to the house you can go out and look for mushrooms or just enjoy lovely forest walks. Winter in this landscape invites you to good skiing. You are welcomed by a small veranda that leads directly into a hall, to the left of the hall there is a large spacious country kitchen with dining area for 6 people there is everything you could need. To the right of the kitchen there are two bedrooms in one there is a double bed and wardrobes, in the other bedroom there is a single bed that the bedroom leads on to the living room where there is no door, door to the kitchen is located. To the right from the hall you have a bathroom with shower and toilet, a large lovely living room with a sofa bed and TV, a small office, door leading out to the back of the house there is a large terrace with outdoor furniture where you can socialize and barbecue well. Around the whole house there is lawn to run around and play on. In the basement there is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, there is also a high chair and cot to borrow. Enjoy the morning coffee on the patio at the entrance of the house, greeted by bird chirping and views of Bengtsbrohöljen. Sometimes the garden is visited by deer and if you are lucky you can see moose up close. A berth is available. About 20 meters from the villa goes a small road, not much traffic. Private parking is available. The prepared cycle path between Billingsfors and Bengtsfors is within a few minutes' distance of the villa. Locks 16, 17, 18 in Dalslands Kanal are within walking distance, also stop to board canal boat from Billingsfors. The 18 lock is known as the most photographed along the canal due to a wonderful little red cottage with picturesque garden located next to the lock. Exclusive trout fishing in Hölljerudsforsarna, between Bengtsbrohäljen and Laxsjön there are three rapids. Höljerudsforsarna consists of the upper rapids, an approximately 250 meter long rapids stretch with 6 meters drop height and the lower smaller rapids with about 2 meters drop height. Here you can fish trout and streamers for which the rapids are best known. Laxsjön is a lake with relatively clear and cold water. The lake has a natural trout population and every year trout are caught in weights up to 7 kg. Pike and perch reach high weights in Laxsjön. Largest pike of 15.1 kg and perch of 2.4 kg. Good ice fishing on rough perch. Fish species: perch, pike, roach, bream, tench, whitefish, vendace, cormorant, lake and trout. NB! Catch & Release on all trout regardless of size. For pike, fish between 50 and 80 cm may be picked up. Nearest launching ramp Billingsfors Marina. Fishing licenses can be purchased on the internet. With a short drive you will find Baldersnäs's historic Herrgård there is Café Allé and restaurant Öjentorps kök where you work with local ingredients and producers. Dalslands Aktiviteter is one of Europe's largest facilities when it comes to adventures in the forest and land where there is a cozy café and a reputable restaurant that always uses local produce. Dalslands Moose Ranch explore the moose in their natural environment. Rosellmagasinet is an old warehouse, which is considered Bengtsfors' oldest building. With Lelången's water hatching under the jetty, you can enjoy a well-prepared menu. Also Electric cars must NOT be charged, without asking the house owner, there is only 1 outlet that can handle it, Fuses trip otherwise.
