About this property

Orange Tree Cottage (2 bedrooms, sleeps 4) Cosy Country Retreat in Amarante.

The cottage is detached, set against terraces offering many places to relax. The pool has a granite terrace with views towards the river Olo and its crystal clear water and hills covered with trees. With the farm bounded by 2 rivers we can arrange white water rafting and canoeing as well as fishing and hill walking. We have a jeep suitable for safari through the mountains and eucalyptus plantations. In amarante apart from a market, many cafe/bars and restaurants there is an 18 hole golf course, aqua park and sports centre for many activities as well as tennis. With the a4 mtorway 6km away both the coast and inland cities like Vila Real, Braga, Guimaraes, Porto and the Douro Valley are all less than 1 hours drive.

Maison typique

La maison est typique portugaise très chouette avec une jolie piscine . Seul problème c'est que les propriétaires habitent juste a côté, nous avons passé nos vacances accompagné des propriétaires avec plusieurs réflexions si j'avais su je n'aurais pas loué cette maison.

Great location near amarante

Amarante is a very nice town and the area has lots on the doorstep, riverside walks, river, greenway, bike hire available in town and lots of day trips to adjacent areas. Accomodation good and lovely pool

La experiencia a sido muy buena, los anfitriones geniales mejor imposible, siempre ayudando en todo lo que podían , super amables y hospitalarios. El lugar precioso y super tranquilo y la piscina mejor imposible. La verdad que si podemos repetiremos, sin lugar a duda lo recomiendo. Une semaine de rêve

En 2023, on peut encore trouver des hôtes incroyables avec une histoire atypique qui proposent un lieu fabuleux : la Casa Da Ponte. Un domaine rénové avec goût qui offre tout ce que l'on souhaite pour être hors du temps et du monde, quelques jours. Le vieux Amarante est superbe avec sa confeitaria de 1930, ses nombreux bars au cachet insoupçonnable. Absolument recommandé. High On Emotion ;) R&S

A picture postcard cottage set in beautiful surroundings.

Perfectly positioned to explore the local amenities and countryside, with plenty of restaurants and cafes a short drive away.A very good place to base an outdoors themed holiday or short break for an authentic feel of the real Portugal ! The hosts Tina and Harry are always very helpful with tips, help and local knowledge to make your stay an enjoyable experience. And if that isn't enough they can source you some really good red or white wines , what more could you want ?

Uma experiência fantástica!

Somos um pequeno grupo de amigos de 4 pessoas e estivemos na propriedade do Harry e da Tina na última semana de Agosto e foi uma experiência fantástica, além dos anfitriões serem umas pessoas 5 estrelas e extremamente simpáticas, foram sempre muito prestáveis e atentos a qualquer falta que pudéssemos sentir, a casa onde ficámos e mesmo os espaços comuns são extremamente bem pensados e muito aprazíveis! Nota-se que foi tudo pensado com um toque especial de carinho pelos proprietários. A Candy, uma cadela adorável também ajudou a tornar a estadia mais simpática assim como os nossos serões!
